We had great news this morning ... our permit to visit our home up in the country to prepare it for the fire season has been granted.  We have 72 hours from door to door and back again to see to everything - it will be a hectic couple of days.  We won't go up for a couple of weeks yet - we were looking for a couple of dry days so that we could get the work done in relative comfort.  The funny thing is, lockdown may come off before then and we may have been able to go up regardless.  Anyway, just the thought of getting away has cheered us both up.

Marina that is exciting news for you. Something to look forward to.

Hi Robyn, kind of you to pop in and say hi. Do you still have your Hot Mix Pro? I was very disappointed with mine.

Best to be prepared and get in early with your permit request Marina. Do you have any idea how much work there is to do, has anyone sent photos?

No, Judy, we are using our imagination, and that is pretty scarey!  Actually, we have got a wonderful neighbour who looks after our place if we can't get up - mowing the orchard, tidying up generally, airing the house out, etc..  Fortunately he owns the chooks that I 'foster' in our hen run so I don't feel too bad about them.  He will take good care of them.  It will be so good to get up there again!

Marina, that is great news.  It has been very wet here but you may not have had as much. It is just so nice to get out, particularly the city.
Just read a message that we will be able to add our recipes to use with TMX. As the service manager I spoke to in Melbourne said, it has to happen. It is just a software issue.

Hi Cookie, No I sold it on ebay, about 3 years ago. Just didn't like as much. A bit clunky... Sold fast in 1 day to a Sydney doctor.

I  just need to use my thermies more everyday, instead of weekends.  Great to see so many still here.  Stil hot up here, no rain..
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I use Tapatalk Chookie, but I subscribe about $1.20 a month to do it. I did unsubscribe once and it was easy to do. I find this way I don't have to worry and wait for it to go. They take it from my money that I have on the App account. I usually keep a little bit in there in case I want to buy a magazine or similar on line. (you used to add to it with an itunes card, I think it is now an Apple card)

I’ll run you through what I do Chookie. These instructions are for the iPad for anyone else wanting to know how to add photos to their posts.

Start off making a comment or posting a recipe.
Just below the box you’ve typed in click on Attachments and other options.
Scroll down to Choose File, click on that. 3 options will come up, click on Photo Library.
Choose the photo you want, it will then tell you the actual size of the photo chosen. This can be too big for the forum so I click on that wording (it’s white printing on a black box) then I choose Medium.
On the RHS up the top of this box you’re in is the word ‘Use’, click on that.
You will now see the attachment in the ‘Choose File’ box.
Click on ‘Post’ in the bottom hand corner.

I hope this becomes clear to you as you go through each stage. The photo will appear on the same post as your recipe or comment.

Thanks Cookie and Judy.  Will try Judys first as when I looked into Tapatalk they suggested I may not even be able to us the pay method.

Lovely to hear from you Robyn.  I don’t get on here much these days.  My Mum is now 90+ so spend a bit of time in Port Pirie with her.

Marina, I hope your imagination is wrong and when you get there you won’t have to spend too much time clearing.  It will be nice to have a change of scenery!

Good luck with the new chook’s Chookie!

Thanks Judy, it worked. Wonderful. I’ve posted 2 photos in ‘cooking Today ‘
Our ducklings have somehow lost their mother. We saw the 5 remaining ducklings, in a small bunch, crossing the road heading for a neighbours dam.
