We had one in the house some time ago.. We called him/it Fred.  Fred seemed to live an awfully long time until it occurred to us that maybe, just maybe, we had offspring ;D

I really don't mind them as long as they behave themselves... and they keep other little things at bay.  This little guy came to visit one evening when I was on the computer ....

You all talking about Hairy huntsman reminds of when youngest DS was about 6 swinging on the woodshed door and a big hairy huntsman jumped on his face, luckily DH was with him and very calmly removed the said spider, I one the other hand had nightmares for weeks. Didn't seem to faze DS.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

The house is not big enough for me and a huntsman or any spider, no matter how small. In the past I have paid a neighbour's son  to kill them for me, rang neighbours to come over and do the job when we moved from there and I'm really lucky we rarely have one in the house these days.  I have no qualms with squashing redbacks in the garage but big, furry spiders - ah ah, not for me.  I have memories as a child when my Dad would put plastic spiders in my mashed potato and you don't do that to a kid who is terrified of spiders.  I'm a big girl now so, even though I have to kill any I see, at least now I can do it myself.

Cold wet day today, so mostly stayed home and did some cooking and admin stuff. Can't pay any bills though - stupid bank's Internet banking not working, tried on iPhone, iPad, laptop, not available since last night! Funny thing is that my (now former) employers run this particular banks' IT systems - maybe they've locked me out lol. I'm sure the credit card balance will give me a nasty shock when I do get a look at it!

Great spider stories GF, Jen and Judy :)

Started the day with Pilates. Instructor went up one notch in difficulty level as it was our 2nd class. Quite sore now.

Drove to Spearwood to catch DS11 and the school soccer team compete for Glory Cup after my class. He warned me not to shout out his name ;D

At the pool now. Waiting for DS8 to finish swimming lesson.

Wishing for a nap.

Finally - the end of a very long a busy week!  Today I was lucky enough to be able to duck out of work for an hour to have lunch with Judy, KatieJ, Trudy and EmeraldSue.  We had a lovely pub lunch in Adelaide, with lots of chatting!  After lunch, the others went on for coffee and macaroons and browsing in a bookshop dedicated to cookbooks  :-)) :-))  I had to go back to work - lucky for the wallet I think!  Now I wonder who is going to post their purchases on the shopping thread  ;) ;)

It was a lovely day Karen, thanks for organising it.  The bookshop/coffee shop was interesting too and I bought Easy Kids' Party Food to pop into my DD's goody bag.  Just finished going through it, it's a little beauty.  Thanks girls, enjoyed my day before going back to see Geoff who was not doing well today unfortunately.

It was a lovely day and nice to catch up with everyone.
Surprisingly I have nothing to post on the shopping thread, as I managed to keep my wallet in my bag and didn't buy a cookbook.

Hope Geoff is feeling better tomorrow Judy.
