Lunch at C'est Bon French restaurant for my DD's Birthday. One of the few decent places to eat in Cairns.

Nice pictures Gert, I didn't know you had a French restaurant up there.

Ha ha, she looks surprised it's her birthday. DD is a chip off the old block Gert.

Looks good Gert, your DD and my DS must share a birthday today.
I bought a leg of pork for his birthday dinner, coles had them for half price bargin. I've been preparing vegetables and making a birthday cake which DD will decorate and DH will cook the roast while I am at work this afternoon.

I have lots of pics of her with that expression. Crazy hair completely natural but for the colour . I love the card they gave her with the bite out of the corner. Complete surprise as we never mentioned her birthday but the waiter must have heard us talking and of course the pressies I gave here were a giveway. Also she is a regular there. It is really a business lunch place for the high end professionals in Cairns and surprisingly not well known and we like to keep it that way. Rarely see a tourist there.

The entry fees and accommodation deposits are starting to roll in for our National Rally next year. I had lots of cheques to take to the bank. Would you believe one bright spark wrote out their cheque in lead pencil. They are from interstate so I will have to return it and have them fix it. It mucked up all my cash book etc as I didn't spot it, the bank did. I do like my books to be neat, what a fuss pot I am.

Who on earth writes a cheque in a lead pencil Cookie?? Other than that person of course? Are they having a go at you - or was it an over sight?
Someone here is going to ask "who still writes cheques?"
Me! I know it is wrong, sort of, but it keeps the money in my account for a few more days until they bank it. Also means I'm not giving the kids cash to pay school things or Scout things, cheques can't be used by anyone else if they are misplaced.
National Rally sounds good Cookie.
