Nice lunch Gert, DD looks lovely.

Well I was surprised we had a service man out for work, I went to pay him with eftpos but he said the firm would send us out a bill!!    I nearly fell over.

Gorgeous girl, Gert. Looks just like her mummy :)

Nikkit, our primary school likes to get lump sum payment that's prepaid for future activities. Saves the teachers from too much admin stuff that takes them away from their teaching. I pay using credit card at the school office and earn points :D

Another busy 'day off' here. Older DD went off on her school camp this morning, back in 2 days - excitement levels were pretty high at school this morning as you can imagine! Coffee with friends - missing one of our regulars as her dad died 2 days ago from cancer. We had planned for all our families to spend this weekend together at Flinders but have now decided to cancel as understandably our friend's not feeling up to it and wouldn't be the same without her.
Haircut, some Xmas shopping, a bit of cooking, picked up other DD from school, more cooking, took DD to music lesson, then we went out for dinner (very ordinary meal, but it was DD's choice). And of course the usual washing, housework and other bits & pieces.

We still have a cheque account too Nikkit. It is just so handy at times.
I'm not sure about the person who wrote it, possibly they are elderly and didn't think and just picked up a pencil.

The National Meet will be taking over Busselton for about a week. We are hoping to have up to 150 Model A's there. The Busselton traffic may get fed up with us though.

Maddy what sort of work is your DH doing on the tractor?
Do you have a cereal crop in?

Cookie, hubby is a contract farmer...at the moment he's baling hay, hundreds of acres of round bales & small square bales....and the weather hasn't been playing nice!!!
Once the season is over, there's plenty sowing, pasture renovation, fencing, etc...never ending, he never gets a holiday.

it looks like Christmas here, and a girly one at that  :P, DS on crutches for a week (hamstring)...novelty wore off after 2 hours  :-)), I have an "interesting" centrepiece I'm crafting for the Christmas table, will post when done, and I haven't yet bought a single present for Christmas   :o .and I haven't baked anything in ages!....off to paddock taxi again.

I'm working from home, finished work for the day but feel a bit lost because I'm without children! One at camp, the other at a friend's house, won't be home until after dinner. I'm thinking I'll take this opportunity to go and get some spicy takeaway for my dinner yummmm.
Oh, and I just found out that, even though I had only been working at my new job for 4 days of their financial year, I still get a bonus! It's only $80, but since I wasn't expecting anything I'm delighted. This job just keeps getting better...

Deedub, that's so nice that you get a bonus!  At my old job they did similar - if you had only been there 6 mths, you'd get 1/2 of what you would normally receive etc.  I love a bonus!!  Must talk to my boss about that  ;D (DH is self employed and I do his books).

I've now completed most of my Xmas shopping!!  :o
I haven't got pressies for the adults, but mostly doing homemade goodies again.  They are so hard to buy for otherwise!

I'm about to grab the Xmas tree out and the kids can decorate it after school - I might have to separate the decorations into 2 containers and give one lot to each and then just let them go for it (and if necessary the tree fairies can come out when they are in bed and have a tidy up).
It was DH's birthday yesterday, so now we are "allowed" to get the tree out.

The kids are getting so tired - why does school and kindy do so many exhausting activities at the end when the kids are already worn out?!
I'm looking forward to the break, but still so much I need to get done before the kids are home all the time!!  I have until the 19th, but still more activities in the meantime - opening of new classrooms (I'm not involved, but going along to see as it's a big thing for DS's school), PTA sausage sizzle, DD's vaccinations, last miniball games of the year...and what else am I forgetting???  I constantly feel I'm forgetting something lately.

Fantastic news Deedub, every bit counts. At work in the office today which is lovely after working from home yesterday and DS having a bit of a farewell party after the last day of school. There was meant to be about 8 boys coming and we ended up with 20!!! Fortunately the all went straight from early finish at school to the local McDonalds, and then walked to our place. I only had to clean up the bathers and towel mess after they all decided to go in the spa in the rain, then get out the cake for the farewell and then order pizza for the 6 remaining boys at dinner time. All up they were pretty well behaved and but very noisy.

Lucky you Deb, your new company sounds a lovely place to work.  You all sound so busy now in the build-up to Christmas.  I'm happy to have all my Christmas shopping out of the way and now have the lunches to look forward to.  Today is GD's carols concert after which I will be babysitting them until their Mum comes home from work.  Tomorrow starts my round of 8 Christmas lunches, first one up is with the female neighbours and Mum is coming along with me to that one.
