GF I have suggested to her that maybe it's time to change to another agency because this agency is giving her a bigger disability than she already has which is terrible. They not looking after her needs properly. The issues are just building up, I'm yet to tell her that I have resigned because I know she is going to be so disappointed because I do most of the shifts with her.

And Michelle some time it's important that the client has your number. With this client it would be quiet difficult for her if she didn't have our number, especially when people don't turn up for shifts. And this has happened 5 times in the last month alone. :(

It's certainly poor service and I'm sure she is grateful.
Who is the supervisor answerable to? You should be lodging an incident report to head office especially if this is not the first time it has happened.  >:(

I have written a list of reasons why I chose to leave this organization and intend to give it to both the coordinator and the manager because I feel the problems that keep occurring are becoming so regular that they need to be looked at and fixed. I feel like the rights of the client have been stripped from this client in particular. Its like they expect her to put up with it and not say anything. And that's my dilemma weather it's the right time to resign or not. I don't know if I have become too involved with the situation that is pulling on the heart strings or if I should just continue with my decision to resign and go now before I get more involved. Either way I will be bring up the issues because I can't leave knowing what I know and not do anything about it.
What a mess. I wish there was an easier way.
I was once a coordinator for an organization similar to this one and know that people with disabilities have the same rights as everyone else, but this coordinator just doesn't seem to care. I feel like shaking her to try and get her to wake up to herself and see what she's doing. :(

:( dude it sounds like you definitely need to take the problem to people higher up the rank. Or even encourage the clients family to speak up. The lack of care is disgraceful! :(

I'm sorry to hear bad news from so many if you on the lead up to Christmas. I hope you had a lovely day!

I had a wonderful day. DH bought me Tenina ' s for food sake :D

We have a Boxing day lunch to go to today at my cousins. And
I need to slip into Toys R us and get the babies a present. Brave the crowds. Have a lovely day all.

Dede, take care. Put it all in writing, and  then you have done the best you can.

You need some time for you, and your family, to stay sane. :)
Today a bit of tidying up, before visitors sometime on the weekend.

Dede, you must move on or this will happen time and time again.  Your kind and caring nature is being taken advantage of by everyone and the agency must step up and do the right thing.  I don't know that it is that easy to change agencies, you are given a care plan and they pick the agency in my experience.  Someone needs to get onto the people who gave this client her care plan and tell them the agency is just not up to scratch.  Complaining to the agency obviously gets you no-where so you have to go higher - was it given by Disability Services for example.  Who can advocate on behalf of this lady, does she know who gave her the plan, is there a file lying around with this information on it.  Once you leave the agency (and maybe whilst you are still there) I'm not sure they will not pay you for responding to a phone call from this lady when one of their workers doesn't turn up.  Have you finished up with the agency yet or are you still working your notice out?

Thanks Judy.
I have handed in my resignation and finish on the 3rd of January.
I have been working on a written letter for several days now that states all my issues and concerns I have had and emailed it off this morning to both the coordinator and manager. I have already had a response from the coordinator who wants to set up a meeting in the next few days so we can go through the issues and hopefully resolve some.
I feel a big amount of relief now I have sent it as I think it had to be done no matter the outcome.
My client seems to think that some clients get more priority than others depending on where their funding come from. It seems that those who have acquired their injuries who were either covered by MAIB or have their own insurance get priority over someone who is getting funds from the government to cover their care hours. Money seems to speak louder even in the disability world. This client received her injuries from a motor car accident many years ago which left her a quadriplegic, but she received a pay out not an on going income that covers her for life. Her money is gone and she just lives on a disability pension and her hours are government funded and restricted, as it is I don't think she received enough hours to give her a better quality life.

Mandi, you do so much for others, other the top of your Job, and you need to know that.  :-* :-*

i don't think the manager or the Co coordinator would come out at 9.30 pm on Christmas Night..

You really deserve much better working conditions, and the patients deserve the best care.

Glad to hear they have set-up a meeting to discuss the issues dede. They are taking advantage of you and are neglecting to do their job. Hopefully for the clients sake the issues will be resolved.

Love the snowman cookie. Is it a trick?
Grocery shopping today. Not much in trolley as still have heaps of leftovers. Later did an after Christmas Day run. It felt slow and hard but ended up being my quickest yet. Must be all the energy from the extra serve of Christmas pud I had ☺️

No Kimmy it is something like silly putty. When you mould it the molecules sort of cling onto each other and then release the tension between them when it isn't being moved. He therefore 'melts. '
I saw it in Melbourne, but have since seen it over here. Just a bit of fun.
