Sorry guys I haven't been back on the forum to answer your questions.

The meeting with the coordinator went very well. She agreed that there are huge problems that need fixing and they are working on fixing them. My pay rate is being looked at and hopefully adjusted as my new work pay rate is $4.40 more an hour and is the correct rate I should be on.

Yes Judy the new job is the same type of work as the old job but with a bigger organization that are much more professional.

Been busy today weeding the veggie garden that has got so overgrown. I had to work my way from the gate right through. Not quiet finished but getting close to the end.
I am suffering from tennis elbow at the moment which is making jobs like weeding quiet painful. I have had a shower and put some deep heat on my arm. Must go to the doctor I think as it's not getting any better. Probably doesn't help that I'm constantly doing things that agitate it.

OMG Gert I wouldn't fancy seeing that in my backyard.

Great idea Mich, the containers look great. Such a practical gift and I'm sure they will make good use of all the supplies. Love a neat pantry!

Michele what a lovely gesture.  It would be hard being a MIL to a female I would imagine (some people are lucky but I know an awful lot who aren't) and you are right in not wanting to overpower the poor girl.  When you think back though, how much clutter did you get rid of recently that they may have found useful  ;)   I hope they have a happy life together and it all leads to a wedding down the track.

Lot going on here.

Dede hope it all works out.

Understand mcmich . Just the way it is  these days. It is certainly tricky trying to negotiate.  You were very brave. No way would I have tried to organise my DIL's pantry.  ;D ;D

I think the snake was a brown tree snake. It was pretty traumatised so I was cautious moving it on. They can be pretty quick and while not poisonous can bite.

We checked into Crown Metropol yesterday lunchtime, here for 3 nights. The old Burswood. The refurbishment is great, pool area lovely, but to guarantee a shady spot its $40 for an orbit bed. Was hoping with the new slides & games room with x box it woukd be a big hit. Slides are for kids 12 & under so only cp can use them. Games room kids have to be over 12 to use xbox without a parent, so the 2 attractions for us are duds & I will be telling management. Back to I am bored canI  go to the room. Hoping he meets some boys his age today.

Lucky Gert - I'll swap you. I have a rather large snake in my chook yard. He killed 2 chooks the other day and one is still a bit sick. All 3 had multiple strike wounds on them - and with 2 dead I don't need to be Sherlock to figure out the sod is poisonous! The strike marks are about an inch apart, so this snake is big! :o

So it takes 2 people to do the chooks at night now. One holding the long handle shovel and doing lots of stomping while the other gets eggs and feeds them!

Tonight the chooks are roosting on the verandah - so I'm guessing he's down there and the girls don't want to go home!

It could be a tiger or a dugite, either way I don't really want to meet him. The dog next door was bitten by a tiger snake last week and pulled through.

And today hit 43 on my patio here, so we made ourselves pretty comfy on the couch for a good portion of the day! Heading to the beach in the morning with horses and dogs  and then more couch time tomorrow arvo  ;D

Ooh... I simply can't cope with snakes....

Bit of food shopping today and then bread, coking, tidying and ironing along with nephew visiting this arvo while his parents were out. Such a canny lad.

No cookie, just managed to get a good deal & we have been wanting to try it out since Packer took over. We chose the right weekend being so hot. It is certainly an improvement on the burswood but they are not up there yet. Had dinner last night at Guilliame, fantastic food as usual. Another day out by the pool :)

A nice lazy weekend Hally, that's all you can do when it's hot.

Nikkit, those poor girls having to roost on your verandah and not go home. You'd think it would be enough to make them stop laying.  At least they have the sense to stay well clear of the snake.  How ever are you going to get him out of there or does he come and go at his leisure?

The closer look at my snake reveals that it may be a Freshwater snake which is quite common here. The photos also reveal dirty gutters in sliding doors. Ummmm. So today I am contemplating cleaning them but as it is roaring/pouring  down rain and my nose is in a fast moving book I may give the cleaning a miss.

The frogs are croaking in agreement.
