Good to hear that DD is being helped Cookie, but isn't two weeks a long wait for suspected appendicitis. Don't want to alarm. Only asking as my brother had a burst one and was dangerously ill with peritonitis. Hoping all will be well.
I used to work in a school, the nurse always said if the pain is so bad that you can't touch the patient's stomach at all then rush to hospital as that is appendicitis.

Progress on the laminate floor today, but still not done. The fridge is out and because  of where It s DH won't now fit in the kitchen.  there is sawdust everywhere again.....
Decorator's came back papered downstairs loo walls and ceiling with lining paper to disguise bad walls. I shall paint it now as the decorating budget is now blown.
I kept out of the house and planted more plants: pansies, stocks and some of my gathered self set perennials from last year. I sowed poppy seeds and weeded. Also knocked out of the holly tree an old pigeons nest. It is right beside the veg garden and not a good idea for them to be there. Although empty it looks as if it'd been used many times so I shall keep an eye on those branches and keep knocking down twigs until they get the message that they must build elsewhere.
Can't wait til it's finished. .....

The work sounds exciting DJ.
Thanks for the warning re DD. we aren't far from the hospital where she was seen. The 2 weeks wait to see the specialist is pretty quick. Her appointment last year with him was a wait of 6 weeks. If it was seen as an emergency the hospital would have admitted her and called in a surgeon. It annoys me. If it is a grumbling appendics why don't they just remove it. She doesn't have the classic symptoms and some of the doctors say it is and others say it isn't.  However that is me and it is not an emergency as such.
She isn't in as much pain today, thank goodness.

As all my housework, ironing etc has been caught up I haven't been doing much. I made some pumpkin soup this morning and some choc chip and walnut biscuits to encourage DD to eat something. I used my other thermal cooking appliance to do the soup as trusty thermomix was doing the biscuits.

Your candles are you maddy and food related candles certainly are different.  You must be having so much fun creating these.

Love where your creativity takes you Maddy...  ;D

Clearing up sawdust and putting things away in kitchen again.
'Gophering', and returning wrong things, feeding animals etc and went to buy some milk and came back with lots of seeds and plants....  ;)

Trying to tidy up too.... Almost impossible.
Rain forecast again so that will stop the garden work. Colder too.
