I've spent most of the afternoon in the local hospital's emergency again. DD wasn't well and went to a GP after hours and they sent her to ED saying she has appendicitis. Some hours later they say I don't think so, but don't know what it is.  This is the 3 rd time she has had it.
We were to fly to Melbourne tomorrow so I have just popped home to cancel the flights and hotel. It was a surprise for me as they only told me about the trip a couple of days ago.
Not too disappointed, just need DD to get well.

Oh cookie, your poor dd & just when you planned to go away again.  Hope it gets sorted

Hope they get to the bottom of it Cookie I know the frustration when they cannot find what is wrong as that is what happened to DH when we were overseas.

Just finished the ironing and now about to do a small load of laundry.

Thanks heavens it's Friday night!
Been sorting out surplus stuff to return, stuff to put away in the shed to start to make this house a home, and stuff that we need to finish a few jobs in the next two weeks.
Covered a dark brown dado type rail in the loo with two coats of special blocker.
It looks so much better already with lining paper and blocker, so the finish should be great.

Tidied up a bit, laundry, animals, and a lot of phone calls for this project. Went to see curtains, and sort out more carpet.
Chasing up quotes for outside, and even asking how much notice to give the removals company to bring the stuff in store.

This is the blind for the loo. I will scotch guard it for waterproofing. DH likes it, phew!

The blind is very apt for your area DJ, never seen anything like that before.  It sounds like things are going along nicely now, great to hear.

Love the blind material DJ.
Went shopping this morning and have done all the washing. I usually do the sheets and towels etc on Saturday. A hang over from working I guess.

Love the blind DJ. Sounds like the place is really coming together now and you will see the reward for all your hard work soon. Once you finish and advertising will it be on the internet so we can all have a good look?

I spent all day yesterday flying from Melbourne to Montreal for a workshop next week. Unfortunately my luggage didn't travel as far as I did and decided to stop its trip in Dallas rather than coming all the way. Thankfully I'm travelling to work and staying at the Sofitel so they were able to launder my clothes overnight so I have clean clothes for today. Hoping my bags show up tonight otherwise I might have to go on a shopping spree tomorrow to get clothes for work on Monday.

It's been snowing heavily all morning and I'm enjoying breakfast watching the snow falling before deciding what to do for the day. Not having snow in melbourne I'm finding it a bit of a treat.
