Fingers crossed for all in FNQ, it will be an anxious wait throughout the day. Gert sorry you are home alone to have to make sure everything is battened down. I hope DH is prepared to have to stay in Sydney a bit longer if the airport up north gets closed down, maybe he will be able to get to Brisbane but not all the way home to Cairns. Scary stuff.

Stay safe all.
Have just finally finished my menu plan for the next 3 weeks, along with the shopping list and baking list. Every meal and snack planned, should have no need to get more groceries (after the list I did this morning) the whole school holidays.
Feeling rather pleased.

Wow! How do you do it, Astarra? I sat down an hour ago trying to menu plan and I've yet to complete day 3. Lunch and forum became more interesting 😁
Do you have a few cookbooks opened and do you scroll back to previous plans?? I need to attend a crash course from you 😄

Me too...
My meal plan tends to consist of me opening the freezer at about 2pm, fossicking around in there hoping for some divine intervention where a hand pops out and offers up and meal that is already done and all I have to do is heat and eat!
Hasn't happened yet
Although I'd probably have a blinking heart attack if it did!

I wrote a list of breakfast ideas, lunch ideas, dinner ideas, snack ideas and fruits/vegetables a while ago, use it as a base most weeks.
I do my plans in Microsoft Excel, one page for menu, one page for to make and one page for shopping.
Then just get to and do it.......and feel great when it is done.
Really very easy.

What is a menu plan?
Our area always loses power when there is a puff of wind so have located the candles , found a lonely box of matches. Everything in the freezer is now frozen again. If we lose power then I guess I will have to sort that out again! The kookaburras are going nuts.

Gert I think I am going to have some Port for you.
BZB I only menu plan for dinner. We all have the same thing for breakfast each day and lunch. We all eat different cereal and some have toast and some don't. My menu plan has baking on it too.

I would be hopeless making a plan much more executing it. I never know from day to,day what we will be eating.
Yes have that Port cookie.

To everyone in FNQ, batten down the hatches and have a drink or two to steady the nerves. Hoping Ita runs out of puff.

Now I feel better. Most times I change my menu plan when I'm grocery shopping. Or it's non existent until the day before. Then I'd start to feel stressed.
Divine intervention sounds good Nikkit.
Cookie, I don't plan breakfasts. It's usually bread, cereal or the boys find something from freezer.
Fortunately we are not having any big wind on our side of the island. It would make the search for MH370's black box even more impossible.
Hope Ita turns wimpy.
