Thanks Robyn. DH 's flight out of Hamilton Island was cancelled yesterday. So they ended up hiring a car and driving home. They followed the army up. Lots of rain the wind is yet to hit.

Some drama today. My neighbour - a new and young mummy - appeared at my front door just as I was in the midst of frying rice. She was absolutely distressed and said her premmie baby was not breathing. She needed a lift to the hospital.

So I drove her, her baby and mum-in-law to the nearest hospital. Both the adults were whimpering and calling out the baby's name. My heart was beating so fast, I had to take deep breaths to calm down. Managed to call her hubby who was at work whilst manoeuvring the traffic jams. Whatever happened to easy Sunday drives?!

Thank goodness the baby started breathing before we arrived. Not sure what caused it as they were waiting for the doctor to check the baby when I left the Emergency department. Her colour was back to normal too.

What a terrible moment for the young Mum BZB.Thank goodness you were so calm and took charge of the situation.Hopefully the baby is on the road to recovery and nothing serious.

Well done BZB, I hope the hospital wasn't too far away.  I think the Mum needs to do a first aid course if the baby is going to have problems in the future.

How scary BZB! E stopped breathing one night. We co slept so realised and managed to wake him enough to breathe again. I will never sleep away from my babies when they are small. That really scared me. I'm glad bub resumed breathing, very frightening!

How awful. It was my greatest fear when the boys were born. Well done BZB. You must be very calm under pressure.

The baby's daddy said she's ok now but they are still at Princess Margaret Hospital.

I'm so glad I was able to lend a hand. Thankfully my brain ticked along today, as it wouldn't have been good to have 3 women panicked.

When my eldest was 2+, he slipped in the bathroom and hit his head against the edge of the floor. Lots of blood. Fortunately I was home on sickie - heavily pregnant with No 2. My aunt who took care of son was in panic mode and giving out suggestions that were not helpful. I just took a clean nappy to apply pressure on the wound, scooped him up and drove to his doctor.

Good to know that I keep calm in these situations. But I do panic when I cook, especially complicated new dishes and if I'm short of time. 😬
