Thx bedlam .. We are enjoying the rare opportunity to be just us... Had forgotten what it was like :)

So good your relationship with parents has now normalised  and they can enjoy having the kids  and also to give you a much needed break with DH. Funny how life changes eh? Good one.

Yup good decision Suzanne. I never had a problem with housework when my kids were small. I just never did anything much. Don't think anyone even noticed.

We had a lovely day down here at Middleton today and tonight sat out around the fire pit toasting marshmallows tonight.

Mending myself (hopefully), enjoying the bright sunshine.
Bit of laundry.
Cups of tea and home made welsh cakes for the men doing the garden wall.
One visitor rescheduled due to illness.
Watched three in a bed to look at competition... !

Everything used to be closed on Good Friday, now I notice some things are opening.

I did a stupid thing this morning. I had to bank some Model A money so went up to the local shopping centre this morning. How dumb can you get. :-\ :-\ :-\ Naturally it was very crowded and of course the bank was closed, so into the safe with the cheque until Tuesday. The bank I took the rest of the cheques and cash to on Thursday refused to take this cheque as the person had made a simple error when they wrote it out and initialled it. The bank refused it as it is supposed to be fully signed, not initialled.  The lass serving me was very new so I thought I would try the local bank that is a bit silly and see if they will take it. Otherwise I have to send it back to QLD with a letter and then the poor person has to sign it and return it to me. We will see on Tuesday.
The moral of the story is stay away from the shops on Easter Saturday.

Yup. No worries no one is going to check the signature. I would just phone the person who wrote the check to make sure they did not do it on purpose to delay the banking of it for insufficient funds.

Cookie, I have only ever initialled a mistake on a cheque and no one has ever queried it.

Out to lunch today with a friend.  No dinner for me toinght I am too full. :D
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.
