The class sounds great gf. Great idea for a gift.
We have one of those apple thingies cookie. They are great and even the children can use it themselves.

On the home stretch with the painting. Carpet goes down in the bedrooms on Friday, so needs to be finished by Thursday.

We'll done Mich, you should feel very proud.
Cookie, that's how I do my apples also then cut the spiral in 1/2. Much easier.
That sounded like a great class GF, what a shame to lose her to New York.
Exciting fridge and freezer cleaning here!

Glad the painting is nearly finished Michele, I am sure it will be lovely when finished.  :)

Spent part of the day doing something I don't like very much .  Shortening the legs of DS's work trousers.  Hoping it will be a while before I have to do more of them.  ;D

Thanks girls, I'm glad that I will be able to hang up my paint brush for a while. I'm pleased with the results so far. We only had the 1 little oops when I locked us in the ensuite  :-X
Marie, you are a marvel. I wouldn't know how to begin to take up trousers.

I like the fact they sell 'short' length trousers for women these days, they obviously don't do the same for men Marie?

A job well done Michele, how lovely the house will smell by the end of the week with a fresh coat of paint and new carpet.

How lovely MF.
Like you girls, I have my mum to look out for as well. Aren't we fortunate to still have our mums.  :D

We are very fortunate Michele. I think our mums are also fortunate to have us around them at this stage in their lives. My mum loves being around all my  kids and the GK's. it would be awful if they had nobody.

You are indeed very fortunate. Even when they drive you crazy, love them to bits. Tell them you love them and don't forget a big hug for them too. I would dearly love to give Mum and Dad a big hug. It's been 17 years for Dad ( gosh, it doesn't feel anything like that) and nearly 10 years for Mum.

I have both my parents still and do feel very lucky...most of the time.
Emme, we have the other problem, always looking for that little bit more length with a false hem!
