Just reading this to Geoff and he was very surprised, there were none that he knew of in his butchering days.  He retired in 1987 but did 20 years in the industry.
Judy from North Haven, South Australia

I don't think there would have been any girls when Geoff was in the trade. At another awards night a few years back when DS was still doing his apprenticeship, the speaker was one of the first female butchers to go through Granville Tafe. She spoke of how hard it was and she was relegated to the cash register and serving and had to prove herself over and over again but she blazed a path for the girls today.  :D

Yes, Cookie, DS and future DIL look after the family very well with quality meat. They work at Leichardt for an Egyptian boss, he is very good to both of them and makes amazing falafel too and Egyptian flat bread which is really good.

Congrats to your DS and future DIL, Mich. Girls are going places nowadays 😄👍

Been in a blur of piano competitions and the usual running around. Was almost late for DS12's item today. I got the time wrong in my head. We arrived just as the previous competitor finished playing😳

That was close BZB. Must have been the day to do that. We slept in and almost missed an appointment.  :'(

Yay! Last item at Fremantle Eisteddfod today 😄 Now life can go back to normal.

But before I start making afternoon tea, thought I'd share the final video 😃

DS9 got into a lot of trouble when he started learning this sonatina. He breezed through the notes without taking care of the many, many details. 😯 His teacher was not impressed, and set this piece as competition entry. It is still a long journey ahead for my little man to really understand the music of Mozart. Nevertheless he played beautifully today, and was awarded Third Place at the Piano Under-11. A lovely surprise.

Congratulations to your son BZB.  I love Mozart's music.

Today I have been sewing out owls for a quilt for my bf's sisters new baby girl that's due in a week or so. I went shopping and got almost all the ingredients for a new recipe I want to try to convert 'chicken mole tacos' just need to get the chillies from the market tomorrow. And I made some doggy treats for the furry children. Then posted the recipe on here so as to share the love to all the puppies hehe.
ATM I'm looking up more recipes by the 'sorted' boys on YouTube to see what Else I can't try.
Xx
