Yes Cookie, I'm sure he enjoyed it. He is well and truly ready for that step. I know DD was ready, haha

Katj, ,  how cute. Big step for all.
Funny reading comments from those who have retired from a very active working life, and now even busier in retirement.

Update on the changing schools situation....it's not going to happen now!
DD read the fine print on the Uni scholarship conditions (lucky she is the thorough one here),  and because her current school is classed as an "under represented" school, her atar needed is 90.  Had she switched to a private school, the atar required will be 95.   That's a pretty huge difference in terms of atar.
So, decision was made for her really.

Massive washing pile to get through today, some candle orders to complete & look for recipes using lots of tomatoes...with thanks to my Dad 's garden  :)

DH and I took our 14 month old back to Mum yesterday.  Pleased they are together and hope she has the strength to stay away from an abusive situation.  He was the most delightful little boy, although we are all happy for them it would have been lovely having him for the 3 months initially asked.  Mind you the last 3 months went for 3 years!
Have a great day all
Denise

I hope so too Denise, unfortunately these women seem to return time and time again to the same situations.  He was lucky to have such beautiful people to care for him for this short time.

Denise that is sad for all of you but wonderful for the little chap. I sincerely hope Mum can stay out of the abusive situation, but it will be very, very hard for her. A big thank you to you all for stepping in when needed.

Just waiting for DD to drop off 2 y.o GD for the day. She is such a lot of fun and enjoys a one on one day with me, without big brother around. I have him on alternate weeks and look forward to his days too!  :)

It's nice to have them one on one Katj, I prefer it that way due to the age difference but I have to take them as a package most of the time.

I am very happily checking all the car club books from the big rally last year to take over to the auditor. Our last sponsor paid up the rest of their money the other day. 4 months after the event, but better late than never.

Going to Darwin in May 2016. DH was talking about how to go, where to stop etc. I suggested he be quiet or he would end up organising it.  Ha ha ha . Guess who is organising it. We will be guests at this rally though so not as much work.

looking for staff again. I put one guy  to work full time, lasted 3 1/2 weeks, he did not like being told what to do.
Or that we told him to loose the ipad at work, even though we are the bosses.. ??? ???

I might find someone older who really wants a job.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.
