Just got a message from PO to say there is a parcel.  Hope it is the AA cooking books.
Anita dropped in, ( some will have met her at the Yum Cha Cooking class), she bought me a jar of Peanut Powder. It is very low in fat.  Has anyone used it?

Never even heard of it Chookie but have just read up on it.  I'm sure you will put it to good use and come up with some amazing recipes.

Peanut powder sounds quite exciting.

I bought some asparagus the other day as I plan to make a couple of dishes using it. This afternoon when I looked at the asparagus, one seems to have kept on growing. I usually store it in a glass of water.

Peanut powder is new to me too.

A good tip to keep asparagus in water Cookie. 8) I knew Tulips kept on growing when picked and places in water.

I've never seen an asparagus sprout cookie, was it because you had it in water?

Cookie, you could get twice what you paid for.
I planted asparagus but have to wait 3 years before you can cut a crop. Guess I won't be seeing this crop. Certainly won't be shifting until I harvest the garlic on the longest day.,

Interesting looking asparagus there Cookie :)

I'm another one that has never heard of peanut powder.

Taking advantage of the weather today and did all the laundry.  Rain forecast for the next week.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Not a lot happening here. I thought I may try Bread Sticks after seeing them on GBBO on Gem the other night. I love this show but we don't have pay TV so I rarely see it.
I'm also making a lovely smelling rice pudding that DH received as a gift from some very dear friends. I can't wait to taste it.

I'm going to try the peanut powder for dinner tonight. Will let you know what it is like.  Have just noticed it is very high in sugar.   Can't win as it is very low fat.

That doesn't make a lot of sense really, since peanuts are high in fat. Usually dropping fat levels is supplemented by increasing sugar levels, which has probably happened with this stuff. I've never heard of it either. What do you do with it?

Today has been reasonably miserable here, but my daughter had Cubs and we did a bike ride. It was cold, but not raining. However, we came back in the dark and hardly anyone had lights on their bikes. I was glad I was there with mine to help the group be visible.
