We are going to an ozzie bbq today.  A friend is celebrating the 50th anniversary of her arrival in Ausralia..
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

What a wonderful way to celebrate, have a lovely day mab.  :)

DH and I went out for lunch and then went to see The Dressmaker. It was a good movie and we both enjoyed it.

We went back to our old neighbourhood for a Christmas catch up. They all visit one year and we go over there the next. It's lovely. Sadly a couple have gone to heaven since we lived there.

I enjoyed The Dressmaker it's a good movie, I was given free tickets to see a early screening of The Suffragettes movie last Tuesday night I think it the best movie I have seen this year.
Nice to catch up with old neighbours, cookie ours are in a different state so it's a Christmas card and letter. I've just been Christmas shopping, sitting down having a well earned rest.
3 more days at work and I'm on holidays for 6 weeks. So looking forward to the break.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

It sounds like an exhausting day to me astarra. :o.

I made a trip to IKEA today with DS.He needed to return an item and I went along too.I thought I didn't need anything but things kept jumping into my trolley. :D Then right next door was a huge supermarket. We both did some shopping in there as well :-)) I bought a huge piece of Parmesan cheese,a piece of Stilton and a Brie wheel for Christmas that were on offer. The Brie needs to ripen ;)

You need to be careful of some baskets and trolleys. They seem to attract all sorts of things. Some weeks you have an unfriendly one and they don't seem to attract nearly as much. 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

I took my car in for its first proper service this morning. They will phone me when it's ready. DH picked me up and we went down to the Spud Shed early. I had a naughty trolley and things like trays of mangoes ($10) jumped it and kilos of cherries again.

In future I will check that I pick a trolley on the nice list instead of the naughty.  Although of late it's a naughty iPad !

Yesterday I went to a council funded Christmas concert and morning tea, back to the nursing home to spend time with DH & Mum before taking her to her 6 monthly GP check-up at 2pm. At 3 pm whilst back at the nursing home, I received a phone call, would you like to go to the Elton John concert tonight!  Why not, I haven't been to the Entertainment Centre for years.  Elton and his band entertained us for 2.5 hours without a break, not bad considering their age.  Fantastic energy, loud, amazing light show and for the last hour he and his appreciative audience really rocked.

Judy how exciting for you. I would have loved it.

Tonight DD and I are going to see Hugh Jackman. When she left she suggested I have a Nanna nap this afternoon.  ;D ;D how things change, it used to be me telling her that.  ;D ;D
