Chooks got their cover on.  They had a lovely afternoon talking to us. One of the new girls has started to lay.

Judy, Ral has developed a relationship with one of the new girls. She was pecked viciously by the head chook. He has built her a cage within the cage so the others can get used to her but without being able to peck her. She was a timid little thing.

That is so thoughtful of Ral to do that for her Chookie.  I hope she repays him well in eggs.

Poor little timid chook. I'm so pleased Ral came to her rescue, he's very kind. At least he didn't want to chop her head off and eat her.

I really enjoy it when I am babysitting my neighbour's young chooks until they are big enough to go in with the older ones, but seeing the "pecking order" at work is upsetting.

Stocktake all weekend.  Not much fun, but must be done.  Just about through the physical stocktake now, but transferring it into my accounts program is tough going.

Not today but last Sunday did a fabulous pastry class with Anneka manning. It was just wonderful.
Anneka is so knowledgeable and I hope to take another class soon.

Dinner sounds amazing Chookie.

Took everything out of the camper trailer and gave it another clean. Was easy as we only came back from Port Macquarie a week ago.

We will be doing the same with our van when winter is over Mich. DH has put a couple of bits on it (like a bracket to hold the fold up boat trailer) but when he does these things he doesn't make holes in the vehicle itself, so he has to remove all these bits and pieces and we will give it a big scrub. It's always cleaned when we return home and put into the shed.

Yesterday I went with DD to see 16 year old GD in her school musical production.  They did Zeusical (spelling???) a  musical based on the Dr Zeus book Horton Hears Who.  The show was a lot of fun and there is some great talent among the students.  I had a little girl of about 3 sitting next to me and she spent most of the time up dancing to the music and following the actions of those on stage.  I don't think her mother would have any effort getting her to sleep that night.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

That sounds sweet Margaret
We had a car run today. It wasn't that long, only about 50 mile or so. It was up into the hills and it was absolutely freezing. Even coming home later in the day it was old. The sun was shining, but there was no warmth in it. DH decided to go to Maccas drive through for an icecream in a cone on the way home. I think it warmed me up a bit, I was so cold.
