Cookie, so glad your budgie seems to be on the mend. You are lucky to have a vet who understands birds.

We had DD and 3 GC here yesterday for afternoon tea.

Cookie, good news that your lttle budgie is on the mend.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thank you all for being so kind about our budgie. He certainly seems on the mend now.
Chookie I had to phone 4 vets before I found one that would see him, and they don't normally. The vet  we used to see no longer sees birds. All is well now.

Took Mum to see her new nursing home, it's really lovely and there were lots of other residents from our home having a look too.  Later had lunch with a friend then visited neighbours for his birthday.

Cookie glad you bird is on the mend, JD another busy day. CP sounds like you had a lovely time at the cooking class with Tenina. I've been cleaning out my craft room, sold some stamp sets on gumtree, gave some craft goodies away on a FB page pay it forward. Amazing what you find that you forgot you had. Look out kitchen cupboards you are next. I'm on holidays so hopefully I'll get time to post more.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

GC here at Invermay. We made Lemon Butter, 60 sausage rolls and chicken nuggets for dinner.
Tomorrow, other GD is coming over and we are all excited. We will be lighting a fire outside. Have bought marshmallows to roast. ( can't see the attraction, but kids love them.)
The NBN men came but couldn't attach the disk to the roof as it needs a special fitting. Will come back. Can't complain as we had a follow up call today from Skymesh.

Everyone's so busy.  I love a good clean out Jenny but even after one there doesn't seem much difference.  I obviously need to be more brutal.

The kids will be having a ball at your place Chookie, I'd love to be there with you all. As a child we never did the toasting of marshmallows, we toasted bread but that was fun too.  DD2 has a firepit at their holiday house and I bought the kids a long handled fork each as they love to toast marshmallows too.  Thanks for the lovely long telephone call last night, it was lovely catching up on everything.

You are right astarra, nothing compares to home cooking.

Judy, I also enjoyed our chat.
The GC had a great time. Jilly(14) showed the younger ones the joy of climbing trees.

Wow, Jilly(assuming that's her in the pic) is up so high!
Nice to see kids doing good old fashioned stuff like tree climbing.
DD is recovering well from surgery and doesn't need me all day anymore, I'm  going for about 3-4 hrs mostly in the afternoons. The weather has been so lousy so lots of card games, puzzles and colouring in and making bear caves with blankets around the bunk beds.

That looks like Oscar way up there in the tree I think Katj.  Jilly taught him well Chookie, I hope he found it easy to get down and Ral didn't have to go up there to rescue him LOL.

Your afternoon shift would be greatly appreciated by DD Katj.  How kids love making caves and tents inside with blankets, my GD did it quite often but the little fellow never did.

Wow, the GC is high up the tree. They deserve the tree climbing award. It must be wonderful for them to be able to do that Chookie.

We went to Busselton today and delivered the caravan to its new owner. We then had an icecream at Simmo's ( famous for their icecream here) and came home. They kindly offered us $50 for taking the van down, but we refused it. It's nice to do good things for people. They seem a lovely couple. I actually felt sad!  Remembering all the great times we had had in it.
