Yes, I treasure the moments spent with GK's they are growing up so fast.
Tomorrow DD is coming for a bbq lunch at our village, followed by a swim in the pool. The GK's have been waiting for this day ever since we moved in 7 months ago. 1st warm enough day tomorrow.

Cookie, DD is almost fully recovered, she has one more week of no heavy lifting. So far the op seems to have done the trick and fixed her incontinence prob when she runs.

Katj, it sounds like you had a fun day with GS.

A busy day here today.  Out to lunch with a GF.  The upholsterer rang to say our newly recovered lounge suite will be here this afternoon.  DS and family have gone to Fiji for a wedding so we are on house and animal duty so will have to go out there later in the day.

The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I'm pleased your DD is well on the way to being fully mended Katj.
This morning we went for our annual blood tests, then I had my hair cut, then this afternoon I got my eyebrows done. Home now for a rest.

We are at Cherokee for Open Day. Will be very surprised if anyone turns up. It is trying to snow. Although the house is in display mode, I cooked some savoury muffins.
This is what it looks like outside.

My DH has a company manager over from Canada, we took him out for the day. Such a perfect day (30c). First we went to Caversham Wildlife Pk, in the swan Valley where he got close up to koalas and kangas, and saw lots of our birds & wildlife. Next stop the Chocolate factory for free samples and purchases. The Providore to buy 2 bottles of Chocolate Macciato liqueur, one for us and he also got one after sampling.
We then headed to Swanbrook winery for lunch. Such a beautiful outdoor setting with a live 3 piece band. While we waited for lunch we sampled a few wines and purchased a bottle. DH & friend had Garlic prawns served with wedges & salad. I had Salt & Pepper Calamari served on an Asian soba noodle salad. All very yum!
Next stop was Kimberley Rum Co brewery. Whilst DH & I are not rum drinkers Gary was, he sampled some and bought a bottle.
Then we went to an Icecream shop for dessert.
We then headed west and drove back along the coast, being a beautiful warm day, the ocean looked magnificent.

What a great day to spend with an out of town visitor, Katj.  I am sure he thoroughly enjoyed himself and got to see a lot of the area as well.

I loved what you did for your visitor too Katj and I imagine he really appreciated his day with you.  A tour operator couldn't have done a better job, well done to both of you.

Katj I'm sure your guest was very impressed with The West. You certainly showcased it beautifully to him.
We were on a run up that way yesterday. It was truly a beautiful day to be out.
