It sounds like the fudge was rather nice.

This morning we went to the Monkey Mia Biggest morning tea. It's always fun as they auction things as well as selling plates of leftover food. Some of the regulars up here are lovely bakers.
I made Snickers Balls again as I didn't need an oven .https://wholefoodsimply.com/?s=Snickers+balls

I thought there was plenty of peanut butter in the jar but DH had been eating it on his toast. Thermomix to the rescue. I made some with some extra peanuts.

Would be yummier than store bought too.

Just back from taking Chance to the Vet for his annual checkup and booster vaccinations. All good, passed with flying colours.Because he was so good he is now chomping on a chewy for being so well behaved.

Well done Chance.

We drove up to Carnarvon today. It was only about 350km, but we didn't leave until 9.30am by the time we had said goodbye to everyone. We are here for two sleeps. It is a very tropical town. They grow lots of bananas, mangoes as well as tomatoes, capsicum, beans, corn and quite a few other veggies for the city markets.
It is on the Gascoyne river and that is where they get all the water from. However the river looks dry, they pump the water from under the sand.
Tomorrow we are going down each side of the river to the plantations and buy what we can from them before going shopping for food.

That sounds like a good idea cookie - nice, fresh produce.

Cookie, we had the best mango smoothies in Carnarvon when we were there years ago.

We had fantastic ones today too Margaret. Possibly at the same place. Bumbaks. Morrells do great ones too.

Tomorrow we go out to the Kennedy Ranges  and will have no coverage for a couple of days.

I saw my first Finger Lime today. They obviously grow them up here. I had never tasted them before, so I squeezed half of one on my haloumi burger for dinner tonight. It was lovely and seemed to cut back the salt in the haloumi a bit.

There is one stand at Victoria Market that always seems to have finger limes on sale and I often wonder what they taste like.  Must try one one day.

Cookie, sounds like you are having a great time.
I love Finger Limes. Bought some a couple of years ago, very expensive, $50 a kilo.
Marina, where at QV do you get them. .?
Today planting garlic, I hope. Some spooking.

I'll check out the name of the stall that has the finger limes, Chookie, and let you know.

We've been bush. Out at the Kennedy Ranges. It was quite hot, very dusty, but absolutely beautiful. We went on a couple of walks into gorges there. At night the camp hosts (volunteers) lit a fire and we all went down with our drinks and chatted. Lovely. The reason the van pop top roof is down is that we were just about to leave and I remembered I didn't have a photo.

Wonderful Cookie. Half your luck.

Today we stood in the rain and mud to watch our GS ride a very slippery down hill bike ride. He did very well. He was one of the youngest and had one of the best times.
