According to rumour, there seems to be a football game happening in Melbourne tomorrow, so we have all very generously been given today off as a public holiday in honour of said game!  ;D

Is this the only city that gives you a public holiday the day before the event happens???

That sounds like a useful thing to learn Chookie. Do you need a printer that does wifi?
Cookie, yes you do need a wifi printer. They are very cheap , but the ink is expensive. Although  I pay $120 for ink that lasts a year.
I do use the printer a lot. Yesterday I paid for our new chairs over the phone. They sent a receipt via computer and I was able to print it off.

On Wednesday DS and DH decided to remove the old cubby house with the tractor ! Also an old grape vine that was very old that covered a large area held up by 3 posts . Also the sandpit over the last few days is being emptied by DS . Huge jobs , while they were doing this I decide to weed under trees and trim a few . A lot of hard physical work .DS just kept going and saying come on mum all day . Think I may have over done it a lot . Neck and shoulders were in spasms . Of course DH left us to clean up and we did . All along DS uses his go cart , uncle made from an old lawn mower, with a tip trailer . Then the steering Broke, so he got the ride on lawn mower and attached wheelbarrow.
Now you would think that a day like that I would not attempt to clean the old bathroom that was getting mould on walls the next day  - yes with some help we did . Last night my neck was so bad I went and got the electric salts , something like that , and had a bath while DD cleared the dumping area of the bathroom cabinet. Slowly we are achieving.

K Atie you will need another holiday.

Marina perhaps they want you to attend the parade! At least you get the day off. We used to get a  day off for te Royal Show but it is no longer given. Friends here would  like a day off for the Melbourne Cup too as they like to go out for lunch, but they don't get it.

Chookie how wonderful getting bees. I'd  love a hive but DH and bees do not like each other at all.

Katie you are overdoing it, slow down girl!  You might need a bit of physio after all that hard work. What a wonderful worker you are.

Think the problem is we are never at home long enough to get these jobs done . The incentive was for us to go away but DH seems to be a little busy . Kids not happy but I am trying to make the most of it . It is DS that keeps pushing on ,bless him . Sad part was I forgot about a girls lunch yesterday at Pot Fairy, oh well let's see what today brings .

Katie, that's a huge effort in the garden no wonder you are feeling a bit sore.

Oh that is not good. I'm off to one tomorrow. We only have them in school holidays as some of my friends are a lot younger and still working. I'm the same age as the Mum of one!

A bit of a drive today north , for a ram sale . Kids enjoyed themselves checking and learning about the differant points of a good ram (for what we need ) eating good country cooking , writing down the Sale prices ,checking on the kelpie puppies . Collecting our Rams at the end of the day . Travelling home with Rams that had a big day who wanted to sit down ! Not so great ,many stops later home .

What breed of sheep do you run K Atie? We had Peppin (?) when I was first growing up and then I think Dad changed over to some others-Collinsville(?)  He had a poll ram stud for many years.

I met up with friends for lunch. It was  lovely. One is starting up a new school so we have promised to go down and see it at the end of the month.  It only has kindy and pre primary at the moment.
