Oh Mich, you are a heroine. As I was reading I was expecting you to say that he ran into you. Were you tempted to say 'serves you right?'

Thanks Cookie, but hardly a heroine. I would have walked on given the choice.

I've had a  lovely morning. I returned a heap of  keys to the local police station that DD and DH found on their walk last night They had tags attached to many of the keys with addresses on!!! I then went for a hair cut and to make it all special I had a makeover at the Mac makeup shop. The lass did my makeup exactly as I like it with a few new techniques. Naturally I had to buy a couple of things. A lovely morning all round.

I didn't think of that Judy. I didn't look much different, I learned how to use highlighter and something or other else to help hide the age!  I hope I can do it justice when I try myself. The lass was gorgeous so it will be easy to go back and ask her. I refused eyeliner as my days of wearing that are well and truly over. I even doubt if I could get it on straight.

That sauce looks yummy Chookie.

You are a star Michele. Could have been a totally different experience if he'd run into someone else.
Cookie that sounds fun. I've discovered that a 10x magnifying mirror and an eyeliner pencil that looks good smudged with fingers are makeup kit essentials lol
For the last couple of days the house and I have been recovering from an unexpected trip to central Queensland for a funeral. On Monday my brother and I left Rockhampton at 8am, and I arrived home in Sydney just before midnight after a long road trip, a Brisbane to Sydney flight and a long taxi ride due to night roadworks.

My niece made me up when I was 37 and on the single scene again.  When I looked in the mirror I didn’t recognise myself!  It was a one off, I felt more comfortable looking like myself.  It’s fun though seeing what a change make-up can make.

That was some trip Gayle, glad you could make it to the funeral though.

That was just the trip home Judy. The trip up last Thursday for the funeral on Friday was similar. We spend the weekend catching up with family we hadn't seen for ages, some more than 20 years. I even got to chat with my Grade 1 teacher. Now that was entertaining.

Love the makeup story Cookie.  I used to buy the most expensive makeup but it didn’t make any difference. I now buy what is on special.
Have had small op on lump on neck. All seems ok. Back at hotel resting. We have a suite at the Swanston. Ral can watch the tennis and I can sleep. We were up at 5.30 am.

You deserve to be in a suite Chookie.

Sad news Gayle, a hug from us. I had a chuckle about the eyeliner. I didn't look much different as I wanted to just learn a few bits and pueces. It was the most natural makeover I've ever had and I was thrilled. I had one many years ago in Singapore, the whole works. They even took glamour shots for us. It was fun but the photos don't really look like me, especially with the T shirt I had on as it was a sudden thing. The people doing it said they were looking for non Asian people to do! It was all free too, which was wonderful.

We went to an utterly amazing concert last night by a group called Vox Clamantis; music by Arvo Part / Gregorian Chant type music.  Totally magical.  Not our usual concert night out, but loved it, then ran into a very dear friend as we were leaving to walk most of the way home on a beautifuly warm and still night.
