Lovely memories of a bygone era Chookie.
Certainly are Judy.

CC, not good to not sell what you took, but may be better luck next time.

I am having a cup of tea and watching the miniature donkeys on a neighbours property.  They have just had foals.  The are the size of a medium size dog.

They must be so cute Chookie. I’ve never heard of miniature donkeys.

They really are special.  The babies play like all small animals .  They get together and run around the paddock. The big ones form a line and walk from one end of the paddock turn around and then back again.

They sound very entertaining Chookie. I love miniature anything.

This morning I did a quick visit to an Italian Deli that isn't far from home, but is in a direction I rarely go. In fact Nikki, who had horses and big girl pants told me about it.  I have been slack in visiting it. I was rushed today, so I am going back for a lengthy look and shop tomorrow. I'm impressed with all their fruit and veggies as almost all of them are local.
This morning I bought some marinated sardines from Fremantle, and a couple of apricots stuffed with mascarpone, as well as a couple of things I needed.

I had forgotten about Nikki and her wonderful stories.  Do you ever see or hear from her these days?

I didn’t do this, my gardener did.  With our summers becoming hotter I decided to grow some woolly bushes down the dead side of the house. They will grow tall enough and wide enough to shade that side of the house from the morning sun very quickly. Now every part of the house is protected by either a verandah, pergola, roller shutter or shade blinds.

Marina I used to see a bit of Nikki, but sadly her Mum died and I've only heard from her via Instagram etc. she is a lovely person.

Yes Chookie, sardines from Fremantle.  They were so lovely. I had 3 and not a bone in sight. I went back to the shop today with plenty of time to spare..  I spent rather a lot, but don't regret any of it. They even have a small cheese room.  Some lovely cheeses there.  They have fresh fruit and veggies, but only stuff that is currently in season. It's all local, which I think is brilliant.

Judy, I love the wooly bushes. They grow naturally down in Albany and have lovely red flowers. We had some at our precipitous house.

I love the softness and denseness of them cookie.  I planted 3 out the front on the boundary so that I didn’t have to see my neighbour’s unkempt front yard and messy verandah. They have certainly done the job.

Judy, I love the wooly bushes.  We had one at our last house, sadly the new owners took it out and put in a birch tree. :-)) :-))
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Did a bit of food shopping this morning. Gosh it is getting expensive.
This afternoon we went to the dentist. No repairs, thank goodness. Just a clean.
