I went to the hairdressers this morning and this afternoon to the hygienist.

Margaret I hope your day went well.

I went to the podiatrist this morning. My usual one is away for some time so  I elected to try this one while he is away. Ow! She is like greased lightning. In and out in about 10 minutes. My usual guy is gentle with me and cuts the ingrown bits out carefully and never draws blood. This one pulled the bits of nail out and drew blood. I kept going ow! and she said sorry!  I even ended up with a mini bandaid on my toe. I'm pleased my guy will be back for the next visit.

I then popped up to my Italian grocer and bought among other things a tray of peaches for $12 and a deep box of mixed stone fruit for $5. That was too good to resist.

Today, I updated 2 TMX Hot X Bun recipes.
Our gardener is a foodie so I got her to taste the 2 new recipes I have just made.
She really liked the Chocolate Zuchinni slice and asked for the recipe.  She said her fussy eaters would enjoy it. This one is gluten free and made with coconut flour.
She also liked the one made with Almond flour and Zuchinni , also gluten free and carb light. and thought it would be nice with cooked tomato.
I had better post both.
Cookie, that is horrible. Glad your podiatrist will be back next time.   Good buy with the fruit.

Do you have plans for the fruit cookie or are you just going to eat them as they are?
I don’t like the sound of that poditrist at all, bet you were glad to get out of there. Remember her name though, she may be on another time when yours is away.

Cookie, I agree with CC and Judy ... I would also complain to the practice manager as well, or else to your usual podiatrist, that sort of treatment is just not acceptable.

Good morning all.
Back "on deck" after a very hectic week or two with a trip to the accountant the highlight  :P A tax refund is coming my way.
That's the good news.
The bad news is that I have a sick chook. She has been very quiet for a week or two, hasn't laid for about a week and is moulting. She doesn't seem to be eating and hasn't come out of the henhouse this morning. Of course she is the most feral of the flock and is very difficult to catch. Any chook whisperers out there? I would appreciate your advice. TIA

Good morning everyone. A lovely day here.

Thanks Cookie & Chookie, everything went well yesterday and according to the nurses nothing was found.  I still need to see my doctor, but will do that after our holiday.

We are heading off either tomorrow or Friday

Oh Gayle your chook doesn’t sound too happy at all. We have a budgie who has stopped talking and sleeps a lot. If it keeps up I will have to take him to the vet. He is eating and drinking well.
I hope the chook recovers quickly Gayle.

Lovely news that all is well Margaret. Enjoy your holiday.

Great news Mab.
We also have a sick Chook.  As she is not being annoyed by the others we will leave her be.   This one is old so think she is on the way out. She is not eating.
Djinni, if your Chook is not eating then that is a worry.  Some Chooks do moult at about Easter and therefore don’t lay.  If she can’t stand then you should separate her as she may have a disease.
