No you are not alone in that Marina but I believe you can get a cool memory foam pillow, mine isn’t but I love it anyway.  A little bit warm in summer but I just turn it over or use the other one. I’d suggest you do a bit of googling before purchasing cookie.  From the diabetic check-up, are you sure those details were yours and not someone else’s??

Ok so went to the orthopaedic surgeon today , having an arthroscopic knee surgery on Thursday ! Pleased that something is being done and soon I will not have pain . So funny DM and I are legs up together, she had full knee replacement surgery 3weeks ago and is not allowed to drive . So the fun begins working out how to get one car and me home , DH is on it . Sad will miss DS and DD hockey semi finals but hopefully they win and I will be able to go to finals . DH goes away for a few days next week ! So I will be on my own ... lots of Netflix, reading and finish knitting projects .

Ral has one of those Bamboo pillows and loves it.  I tried it and hated it so he now has 2.
K Atie that is no good.  Hope they fix the problem.
I had my first drive of the tractor today.  Very slow.

Gosh Katie, that was a quick decision to get that knee done. Good luck on Thursday, bad luck about missing the hockey semi-final.
Another feather in your cap Chookie, slow is good!

I just got my stitches out following my knee arthroscopy yesterday, all is well and I anticipate going back to gym today or next week.  Mine was a very minor op. Because I have an implant in my pelvis I cannot have an MRI so the arthroscopy was the only way they could check the problem.  Surgeon said they removed some "debris" and gave me some photos (looked like the planet Jupiter is in there!).  Good luck with yours K Atie.  Make sure you get the required rest and keep your knee elevated as long as you can.

Katie, good luck with your knee op tomorrow, Sorry that you will miss the hockey semi finals.  I loved watching my GDs when they were playing netball, always so exciting.

Well done Chookie with your tractor lessons.

Good luck with the knee K Atie.

Judy, the diabetic nurse entered the figures onto the form on the computer and I don’t think she really looked at the ones from 6 months ago. I think DH was talking to her too much!,

Thank you girls . Having the operation at The Avenue in Melbourne Chookie , day procedure . DM is taking care of me or should I say we will take care of each other . Leg up for a week , DH is coming by train and taking me home on Friday . We have organized DS to board as well for the week so all good . So pleased that something is being done as the hobbling around was uncomfortable. Go saw me yesterday , with DM , she was not surprised at all , needed to be done . Meanwhile DD is trying to plan a ski trip in holidays ! Teenagers so determined “ you can just sit inside mum “ , makes me laugh .

Thank you again everyone. Day procedure turned into staying over night , really not sure why but good . But only three hours sleep .Today learning to use crutches and the reality set in . Travelling home in the back of the car ...feel terrible, touch of drugs and car sickness. Before the drive home Learnt how to do supermarket shopping with crutches, asked if I would like a trolley , right no way . Felt like a shoplifter, bag over shoulder tucking goods into it . DH just shook his head when he found me . Bed and rest .

I’m glad the first stage is over Katie, now for the recovery.  I’d take it very easy if I was you and follow the doctor’s orders.  Wishing you a speedy recovery.
