Went out for Brunch. L’Espresso.  Always nice and not expensive. Nice sized serves, not too big.

DH has taken the Holden to a display today at a fair in North Perth. I elected not to go and I'm glad as he must be very hot.

Cookie, what a lovely selection of cars. Wise to stay home when so hot.
GD and School Bagpipes went to Bendigo on Saturday.  It was 37 degrees.

You would have both felt very proud Chookie, even in the heat.

The Holden looks great amongst the old cars cookie, is that an original colour for that model?
The things we do when our grandchildren are involved Chookie, an event not to be missed no matter what the temperature.
The kids came over today, SIL, a CPA, audited the Probus books whilst DD and I swapped over the guest bedroom mattress with mine to see if it’s more comfortable for my back.  If not then I will buy a new one. I’m having down-lights installed in the kitchen on Monday and DD has agreed to paint the ceiling for me, she will do the walls later. After they left mid afternoon I made up the 2 beds and did a huge wash.  Luckily it dried really quickly before the cool change arrived as we are expecting a little rain tomorrow, will believe it when I see it though.

Yes, the rain came, Judy ... 5 drops .... I know because I counted them!  No, actually, that is wrong, the 5 drops were on Sunday.  We had a real shower during the night last night, it didn't last long, but it was lovely hearing the sound of rain again.

We had been hearing strange noises under the hood of our car last week so had it in the garage on Friday to get it checked ... they said it was a wheel bearing (we didn't believe them) but we agreed to have it changed for a cool $550.00.  Over the weekend I heard some pretty noticeable clunks under the bonnet and the air con stopped working (in the 38 degree heat) so took the car back to the garage yesterday and paid another $450 for a new 'clutch' for the air con unit (they gave us a discount because they got it wrong on Friday).  We are now just back from dropping the bike off at the garage for its regular service ... a new front tyre is needed.  At least (hopefully) this will be the end of our three things to go wrong at the same time!

Join the club Marina, it’s annoying though when you have to pay for something they get wrong.

Marina, that doesn’t seem fair, to have to pay for their mistake.  When we had the Dishwasher fixed they came 4 times but only charged for one trip.  Not sure if this is common practice.
