Be brave Ral.  We will all be thinking of you.

Tes Judy, the car has it's original paint on it. The man we bought it from just put a clear lacquer on it to preserve the paint. The car is being left as it is as it's mechanically sound and has no rust. We had to have it inspected by a club scrutineer before we could license it with a concessional license. DH is a club scrutineer but it had to be an impartial one.  ;D

We are making good progress on our extension / renovation.  I wish I could post photos, but can't so you can all use your imagination ...  The demolition and prep work are all finished, the floor and ceiling on the workshop are well underway.  We think they will be building up to the first floor in the next week and windows in in approx. 3-4 weeks (and hopefully the roof as well) so should be weather proof by the late autumn, early winter.  By then we will be about half way through so things are moving quickly at the moment but the exciting stuff will be once they start on the "innards" and we can get a better picture of what the finished build will look like.

It sounds extremely exciting Marina.
We went on a mid week car run today. Out the other side of the river to the city part of the Margaret River Chocolate factory. It was a bit slippery on the road as we had a sprinkling of rain. The Model A brakes aren't much good on a dry road but they were scary on a slippery, damp road. We stuck to the back roads, no freeways or highways. It was quite lovely. Then on Saturday we have our monthly run and meeting! A bit close together for my liking but that's how it has happened.

Marina, that doesn’t seem fair, to have to pay for their mistake.  When we had the Dishwasher fixed they came 4 times but only charged for one trip.  Not sure if this is common practice.

Marina,  that is really exciting.  Nice to see progress after so much planning.
Cookie, we remember that Chocolate factory.
Yesterday our GD came to do her jobs for us.  In 2 hours she cleaned all the outside of the windows , removed the 4 covers on the skylights which I washed and swept all the verandas.  It is lovely to see her and nothing is too much trouble.

Jilly is 16. Not driving yet. She is the Bagpiper.  Lovely young person.  Unfortunately the event with John Farnham has be cancelled due to his ill health.

I should be doing other things but I've just spent some time printing out pie recipes from this site http://www.mouthwateringmunchies.com/category/meals/pies-and-pie-fillings/.  Some of the recipes are in the recipe book that came with our Sunbeam Pie Makers when many of us bought them some years ago but there are different recipes on this link, one is written by JulieO (two cheese & tomato pie), remember her, a great cook and her photos were amazing.  Some are specifically for pie makers but most would be adaptable anyway.

What a shame Chookie, I do hope John Farnham is OK and hope your GD gets another opportunity.

I had my hair cut this morning and then went grocery shopping.

That site looks good Judy. I have book marked it.
This morning DD and I went shopping. We both have Dymocks vouchers from Christmas to use up. I bought one book.  I then weakened and bought 2 magazines. $44. The young man in the newsagent sort of looked glazed. I then went really mad and bought a pair of shoes. I needed none of it, but felt like spoiling myself.

Cookie, spoil yourself silly.  Good for you.
We have a massive new housing estate just a few miles north of Ballarat. They have added a big shopping centre to service it.  The staff are mostly young and very enthusiastic.  I had a great time filling a trolly with things I don’t need.
Judy , that is an interesting link. Thanks.  I mostly use my pie maker for SD crumpets.

LOL, I do that sometimes too cookie.  I don’t spend anything for ages then I go berserk, especially if I go to Costco or Bunnings.  Chookie you are naughty too!

Isn’t it fun being naughty? These are my 2 magazines and book. I have just finished a new release from this author, Twisted, I really loved it so I saw this and bought it.
