Katie, take care and look after your knee.

KAtie that is awful. I hope some rest helps.

We went to our accountant and had our tax done today. It balances out well. I get some back and DH pays.

Get as much rest as possible KAtie so your knee can recover.

Thanks everyone. tried to rest up yesterday by repairing kids pjs , replaced elastic on one pair and retreaded the ties on two . Very satisfying. Watched a bit of netflex too . Very sad ,when Pepper the puppy was returned home from her weekend stay with our farm worker she had a biff up with his dog , she is missing a big chunk of her ear , I admit to crying but she is fine had to make light of it to DS or he will be too upset . She is fine but our worker is quite upset . Still we will know which dog is DS’s . She had the day at the back door , lots of cuddles and arvo on the Ute and quad bike with DH , even chased sheep .

Poor Pepper.  I can understand how your worker felt.

Good that you are getting some rest and getting the chance to catch up on some chores that obviously had been put off for quite a while because you are so busy with everything else.

I agree Marina, there are little jobs that just sit there waiting for us to find the time to do something about it.  That is unless your SIL from interstate pays you a visit and just happens to bring another pair of his favourite jeans over for his MIL to patch up. This happens from time to time and I always manage to do that job straightaway even though I hate sewing.

I hate taking up trousers. But being vertically challenged I need to do it a lot.

A good idea to try and rest KAtie.  Poor Pepper.

Poor pepper.  Think I would have beaten up the other dog.
Yesterday we had a hilarious ride on a Melbourne tram.  When I announced that I had never been on a tram, the whole carriage decided to look after us.  We were directed to seats( which we didn’t take as we were going only 3 stops). We were told how far we could travel for free.  Everyone was so nice.  We had expected push and shove. There are a lot of very nice people around.

Oh Chookie, I can't imagine that you have never been on a tram considering how often you visit Melbourne!

I have to say that, on the whole, Melbourne people are pretty good with "visitors" and I am glad they treated you both so well.

Chookie we love Melbourne trams and use them a lot whenever we are over there. We’ve always found the people very helpful.

DD and I loved our tour of Optus Stadium. We got to stand in all the West Coast Eagles rooms, also the Freo Dockers and the rooms that visiting teams use. It is like a rabbit warren under the seating. We sat in the very expensive seats.  They actually reclined!
We then had lunch there at a restaurant overlooking the river. I will post some photos of it in the next couple of days.

Must say I am also surprised you had never been on a tram Chookie, you can cross that off your bucket list now!
Sounds like a great tour of the stadium cookie.
