Katie, we saw on TV about the mice plague.  They are a terrible pest and cause so much damage.  That is not what you needed to come home to after all you have been through.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I hope you’re very careful when pruning roses cookie, I know 2 people who suffered badly after a thorn pierced their skin, we believe this was the cause of the death of one of them. The other person took 3 years to recover.

Oh gosh Judy, that is frightening. I only stabbed myself on a thorn once. I was careful as a friend ended up in hospital with a big mark up his arm from the thorn. It infected something. I will need to prune them a little later, as I was just cutting off all the bits affected by the chilli thrip.

O M G, KAtie, I think they will eat the peppermint candles.
Yesterday, weekly shopping. Still exploring what is available in Ballarat. GoVida health food shop had Japanese seaweed and special corn flour for making Mexican tortillas. Couldn’t buy these items anywhere else.
We had morning tea out. We shared a slice of Passionfruit sponge. After a strict couple of weeks, did I enjoy it!!

Just as well I enjoyed the 1/2 sponge slice as my numbers were up a bit. 1  1/2 slice contained my full day quota of sugar, 30 grams.

It’s figures like that which will have you think twice about having a treat isn’t it Chookie?  Best to make your own treats I reckon.

DD and I share a treat on Saturdays when we have coffee. I test my BS Saturday morning! Before goodies.

We hope to go away next Monday for 4 nights. So I'm belting round trying to get things done. We have a very long car run on Sunday so I won't be able to get anything done then. It's going to be very wet then and on Sunday too so I will wash tomorrow. I hate leaving any washing or ironing. I will make bread to take tomorrow and freeze it in slices. We don't like bought bread. Silly us. I will also cook a corned beef to have for sandwiches at lunch time.

Lots of jobs today , just keep busy . Well between mice duty .. think I’ll do stage two tomorrow water ramps for mice sounds like less work , lots of texts re DM as it is/was her Birthday today . Fine until tonight when I remembered her last moments and I cried a lot . But I did manage to get some peppermint and Eucalyptus candles and these will tell those pesky creatures to stay away, also make the house smell nice hopefully.
Tomorrow I’m going to go for a walk with a friend ,

KAtie I'm sure you will have lots of moments when you shed a tear or two for a long time. It's ok to do so. Dad has been gone 24 years and Mum 17 years but there are still occasions when I get a little over come with a memory.
I bakes some bread and some Choc Chip cookies today. I also put a few things in the van.
