I made some Gingernuts for the biscuit barrel today. I'm not overly fond of ginger so hopefully I will stay away from them.

Made an All Bran loaf. Very old recipe. Should be steamed in soup tins.  I baked it in bread tin.
Also made a fruit loaf in bread machine.  I added 2 dessertspoon of marmalade, walnuts , 2 handfuls of dried cherries and a good pinch of spice.  I also beat 1 egg with a little Maple syrup and add that.  Lovely loaf.
Had a man look at lopping the tops off Cypress trees that are shading the veggie patch.

I used to make a Sunbran Loaf. It was given to Mum many years ago when I was about 14 or so. It has no eggs and is yummy. I rarely make it now as I would eat it all.
I goofed around this morning and then did the grocery shopping. It's quite a rainy day here.

I had a lovely visit from my best friend in high school/bridesmaid who I haven’t seen for over a decade.  What a joy that was.   Later in the day I went to the nursery and bought a shrub plus 2 ground cover plants, I was going to buy veggie & herb seedlings for a big planter tub but decided that was a waste of time with what I eat.  I have another tub which I need to construct, I wonder what will end up going in that one.  A beautiful spring day but rain on the way in a day or so.

Warm 21 degrees, but very windy today.
Victorians are very  depressed with the way the COVID-19 numbers and restrictions are going.
Cookie, that cake sounds similar.  No eggs and no butter.  I sliced it and froze it.

We had a visitor call round today to pick up a spare Model A part DH had. (He has heaps!)
His car is really a hot rod as he has a V8  Chev motor in it. It sounds awesome.

I love all the old cars, they have so much character.

Monday DH had his first jab , Tuesday I had my second AZ jab ( DS had his first P jab  last week ) today DD had her first P jab , she had to get an Uber to the hub !! Mine hurt and sore arm still today .
So windy yesterday , I attempted to prune another apple tree ... might say I was in a mood so used my energy at the tree .. it looks ok anyway at least it’s done and no longer hitting the garage roof .
That kitten of ours was discovered by DH last night behind the heating unit outside with a white fluffy cat . DH locked her up for the night , little tartlet kitten . DS is doing a lot of farm work after school hours , yesterday he pulled a lamb .. part of his Rist work ticket off . He also is looking after a lamb that the ewe won’t let it feed so he holds onto the ewe and the lamb drinks .

All necessary farm jobs KAtie.
This morning I popped out to a local flour distributor and bought some more rye flour and whole meal. They are all from local products.
