What have you been doing today?

Washed the bed linen from the spare bed including the underlay and mattress protector.  Also hung the doona out in the sun to air.

I did pretty much the same, Mab.  It is such a treat to get all the bedding washed and back on the bed all in the same day.

Also guest beds linen washed and dry.
Watering.
Talking on phone. A friend is in isolation.
Cleaned out fridge.

Washed the linen on DS bed yesterday and aired his doona, will do our bed today.

I was outside early fixing the bore then watered the back garden and poisoned weeds in the driveway.  That’s it for me today.

Continuing to clean up 2 years worth of COVID neglect around the house!  It's going quite well because I am taking my time and not trying to do my usual stupid thing of doing everything in one day.

DS and DIL called in yesterday to check up on us.  They are good kids.

DD worked again today and DH was painting her house so I did the washing and ironing.

Baking today. Biscuit tin empty. Will use one of my recipes from Cookidoo.  They are very easy to tweek once they are on.

This morning completely cleared, emptied, cleaned, and treated the hen house and run for mites.  What a job.  The poor chooks did not like being man handled (or woman handled as the case may be) but we had to clean and treat all five of them individually and keep them out of the house whilst we cleaned and washed it down.  Two of the poor chooks had quite bad infestations which I didn't see until it was well into their legs.  Poor souls, they were obviously uncomfortable.  Hopefully they will come right, but we will have to keep treating them for a while I think (difficult when we are not here all the time and it is only me here at the weekends).

Marina , one of the worst jobs when you have chooks. It’s the wild birds that spread the mites.
Didn’t make the biscuits yesterday. Maybe today.
