I feel for you cookie, I’d hate to have that weather over here for Christmas.

That’s lovely Chookie. I imagined you all down by the dam.
We drove down to see MIL this morning and took her a tiny bit of Christmas food. She didn’t want it. 😢😢 She stumped us all by asking how my Mum and Dad were! I didn’t know how to answer, I eventually replied that they were ok. Poor old thing, she isn’t quite in the present. She has no trouble recognising us though.

Cookie, that is very kind of you to visit your MIL on Xmas day. Very difficult for all especially DH.
DS is helping review all our technical stuff.
Family tried fishing in the dam but ducks kept wanting the bait. Might try the yabby nets today.
Melb family are hosting a guide dog in training. Lovely animal. It just loves the country.
K Atie great weather for the harvest.  Your menfolk are working very hard.

It’s hard to get the oldies to eat cookie, we can only make the offer and hope they will. Your MIL is such a long term nursing home resident, I don’t know any who have been in a home for as many years as she has. I’m pleased for you that she still recognises you both.

It's nearly 13 years for MIL. She still wants to go home but I'm not sure which home she wants to go to, after yesterdays comment. Yet she accepts DD's built a house and has grown up. She exclaimed over the house yesterday despite having seen several videos of it. It's lovely that she thinks its new everytime  ;D ;D
Nothing done here today. DD has gone to work and the air con is on. It's 10.25 and 36 degrees. We will see how it all goes today.

They can be very amusing cookie, my Mum used to crack me and the staff up with what she came out with.  She asked me one day if I was going home to feed the cows!  Got to laugh, especially when they’re happy where they are and not traumatised at all.  Stay cool.

Having a fairly lazy day although I did change the bed and washed plus I moved a couple of pots, now I’m watching the cricket for the rest of the day.

My mum used to go into the office at the home where she stayed and hand in her notice every day, much to everyone's amusement!

Great that everyone is catching up with family . Really cold yesterday kittens stayed in their beds too windy  men out harvesting by mid arvo ... they were home so late I feel asleep . The fact that there is a two day public holiday is great but we have a flat tyre on the fuel trailer, cannot be fixed till. Wednesday!! This fills the harvester ekkk. They must have a plan B hopefully.

Marina, I love that. Yes MIL is sort of happy where she is. She is well cared for which is most important. I had planned to do a tiny bit of ironing this morning but I've decided its too hot.

Marina, what a laugh.
Cookie, that is a very long time for your MIL. She must be well looked after.
One of DD clients is Aboriginal. She has designed a motive, depicting the paddling venture across Bass Strait. The 3 girls are depicted as turtles. It is a beautiful painting. Due to very strict laws protecting Aboriginal art it cannot be used by anyone but the 3 people it was created for. They will have it reproduced on tee shirts etc.
