Wow, you have achieved so much before I've even had brekky!
Well Gert, today's the day we leave for our trip. We are off shortly to pick up the plan.
I have been very brave and let DH do all the planning. Wish me well ;)

Hi Cornish Cream, I have quite a bit of the boring stuff to do today.
Sorry to hear of the jammed hand Amy, and also your finger Judydawn.  I find cider vinegar(organic one) from health shop works wonders for that.  I just pour some vinegar in a egg cup and put my finger in.  It hurts like H*** for a while but I have never had it go black or lost a nail since doing that. Soreness also goes.   Also use it after a fall, soak a pad in the vinegar and place it on the area stops it bruising. Forgot to add.  It must be done immediately though.
Marie

Thanks for that information Emme.  DH should have been bathed in it as he ended up with 2 arms which were just one big ugly bruise the whole way down to and including one hand after his recent trip to hospital.

Have a great trip ES, it's going to be a quick one but should be fun for the kids.  Hope you have plenty to keep them occupied during the boring bit over the Nullarbor.

We used to do the cross-nullabor trip every year when we were children.  It certainly did get a bit boring.  My mother would start with a big bag of freddo frogs (not individually wrapped in those days), and every time my brother and I started whinging or whining or fighting, a choccie frog got tossed out the window.  Any left at the end of the trip were for my brother and I to share.

:D :D :D  It was a VERY long trip DD - we drove from Carnarvon in WA to Bordertown in SA (right on the Victorian border) every Christmas time.  No way I would do that with my kids now.  I dont have the patience  :D :D :D
