I relate to the horror stories about dentists.  My DD specialises in dentistry for older scared woman and children. The word has got around and when she recently changed practises, 400 patients followed her. She is at the moment doing an extensive study course into sleep apnea.
Judy, congratulations for looking after your teeth.
Chookie, your daughter's practice is in Melbourne, isn't it?  If so, when she has finished her study course into sleep apnea I would very much like to get in touch with her.  Do you think she might accept another patient?

We are flat out in the shearing shed and the presser did not appear , so DH and our worker have been in the press up , luckily the wool classes and another help out too . It takes a team and although I was there most of the day I snuck off to yoga ! Problem now is I could easily go to bed very early . Managed to cook some pears up for us and put them straight into the freezer. If I can bake something tomorrow for the next day that would be a bonus .

We had a coffee morning with car club friends this morning. DH went and picked up the previous owner of our new car and brought him along. He told DH that he thinks letting the car go now was a good idea. So sweet of him. He knows quite a few of the people we have coffee with.

It's a pleasure Judy. We will make it a thing each month as we go anyway. DH said he will make Tuesdays days for Frank, to do odd jobs for him and spend some time with him. He's lovely and we love him dearly.

We went to the dentist this morning. He tried to persuade me to have some very old front fillings replaced as they are quite discoloured. I politely said no thanks.
He also mentioned that our gums recede, or actually more bone shows or something. He said mine is ok for the moment. A kind young dentist. I still remind him that I'm a chicken each time.
Surprise visitors this afternoon.

Just catching up.
Marina, Anna is in Ballarat. I知 sure she would see you if I said you were a good friend. ( she is not taking any new clients )
Today I知 going with Anna when she has an appointment, in a near by town. I will window shop. ( maybe)
Yesterday I had a procedure at hospital. All ok. I知 on the move again so watch out. I made Protein Balls in the TMX to give to all the people who helped me.

Good to see you catching up on the Forum, Chookie and glad all went well with your procedure yesterday. Thanks for offering to put in a good word for me with Anna, but I am thinking Ballarat just wouldn't work - if it ensued that I needed follow up appointments it would be a challenge to get there.  I appreciate your offer, though.

I am about to go outside and grab the leaf blower to blow lots of leaves around - a very satisfying way to spend an hour or so!

That would be a nice drive for you Chookie. I hope you managed a little window shop or at least a coffee and some people watching.

Yesterday I had the first day completely to my self. I cooked, read and did Wordle. It was nice. I had been invited to go to the Farmers Market with next door neighbours but declined.
Today, more jam. Raspberry this time. I collected up tired looking apples , plums and nectarines, cook them all in the TMX and strained the liquid to make the base for the raspberries.
Also making SD crumpets. 4 cups of starter makes16 to 18 crumpets.

Went to visit MIL at aged care had to do a Covid test !! Tested positive, how embarrassing and double drat . Went down hill rapidly this arvo . DS is home and he has it too. Had big plNs for this week , like girls weekend away and a very important event on Saturday night . No my day at all . Also DD did a great job working at Pitch festival for three days ! Now her car had a flat and she had to get the train back to Melbourne! DH is ok so he took a mad dash to train station! Bus in late due to traffic so they missed connection at Ballarat . DD still there waiting . What a day DS has a SAC this week too .

Is this your first Covid bout K Atie?  It continues to spoil people痴 special plans but on a smaller scale, I hope it doesn稚 hit you too badly.

Well done on your controlling diabetes cookie, you致e done so well for so long now.
