Good you have sorted your hearing aidsut, Judy.  I am sure they will make a huge difference.

I wondered if you were affected by the fires, Chookie.  The embers can be just as dangerous as the fire itself.

KAtie, you are sounding just as busy as usual.  At least there is a short reprieve in the weather for the next couple of days, don't know if that will help regarding the fires, but it will certainly make life a bit easier for everyone with the lower temperatures and the breeze.  I don't know where you live, but I suspect you are close to the fires - take care and watch those embers.

Chookie take care moving things around. Don’t do yourself an injury.
DD and I had coffee this morning. This afternoon a car friend dropped round and he and DH played cars.
DH took the old Ute to the Nash Fair Go lunch yesterday. It was held at an airforce museum and retirement village. He took this photo.

Cookie, it’s so good that DH gets out and around. Nice photo.
Last night DD took me out to dinner. The restaurant is on the lake, next to the boat club the she is involved with. She is encouraging families to use the facilities with BBQ etc for their entertainment when not in use. We watched a family have a picnic on the pier and then have a paddle in small boats. Good family fun and costs them nothing.
The young man I taught to make bread and SD crumpets has become  really enthusiastic and sent me photos of his efforts. He and his partner own a hotel in Ballarat. They have leased the dining facilities out. It has been a disaster. He suggested that I might like to run cooking classes there. I think I’m too old for such a commitment but could probably help them set up a cooking school there. We will see.

The lake area is beautiful there Chookie, I found it so relaxing - water has that effect on me. I’ll be very interested to read how involved you do become in this new venture suggested by your friend, it may not be more than you think you can do as you seem to have so much energy. I’m not surprised that you’ve been approached to do this though.

Great picture cookie, I bet the car turns heads when DH is out and about in it.

Great photo Cookie.  DH loved the old car.

DS is home from Qld for 4 days before going back for work.   He called in for coffee this morning and took a big bag of truss tomatoes home with him.  I was glad to see then go as they just keep on coming.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Chookie, the cooking class / school sounds right up your alley.  I think it will be hard for you not to become involved. You have enthusiasm, a huge knowledge of nutrition, cooking techniques and so much good sense that the 'pupils' will learn so much from you.  Perhaps just 1 - 2 hours per week, although the preparation and planning will undoubtedly take up quite a bit of your time.

Had a lovely day yesterday with visitors. I was about to buy a new Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, but they showed me how to throughly clean the old one. I now have a new/ old cleaner.
Today is going to be very nasty. Bush fires still not out, north of Ballarat. DD is bringing Teddy the bull dog over to stay with me. I’m sure we will have a fine time both doing nothing.
KAtie, I hope you are ok.

Lucky you brought it up re the Dyson Chookie, so many people buy new ones when all they need is a good clean. I found out how to do that by watching  instructions on UTube.  Have a good day with Teddy.
I have a heavy gardener through the council coming today for my once a year cut back then off to have my final appointment with my eyes. Will call in to see my grand-dogs after that as they’re only a block away from my specialist. Cool change expected later today, stay safe all those in Victoria.
