Supermarket shopping here too. The shelves are still empty. I wonder how long they can blame no trains or whatever? Why do they say your shelves are empty Mab?

Last night I fixed DD Dyson stick vac ! Well it’s our old one . It was blocked up so took photos to show her and so satisfying to do this , but I hope it will not happen again . Seems DD has convinced me to go to Chadstone tomorrow… we need to go to the apple shop , cross fingers we are there for a very short time , so I can get on the road to the boys .

My brother and his wife came to visit today.

Neighbour gave me a very large bag of carrots. She works at an organic garden where they develop new strains of veggies.  They dig up or pick the veggies and score them out of 10. Then the workers can take what they want. They are not allowed to sell them. I’ve just spent 1/2 hour on Cookidoo looking at recipes. Looks like carrot cup cakes and lots of soup as well as pilaf.

Chookie it’s so easy to spend ages looking for the right recipe. I tried to find a confit carrot recipe, as I’ve had a salad with the most moorish carrots that are soft sweet full of flavour . Today I’m feeling a tab sad as DS will be going early tomorrow back to NSWs . If he gets all the jobs done !! All he wants to do is seed , plant the crop !! Amazing what he has done for DH . No time to mow lawns or put my TV together, oh well.

DS left first up this morning, filled car fridge with meatballs and some steak . Jumped in the car to make some zucchini relish and onion jam with GF . Lunch with MIL and family. Home to a very quiet house . DH started seeding yesterday, so now the crazy hours begin.

We had a car run today to the northern suburbs. We went to a private memorabilia collection. It was excellent.

What a beautiful Autumn day . DH has been busy carting seed and trying to put out a get away stubble burn 🔥. DS may have not put it out properly ,well the pine stumps will burn for a long time  , oops . All will be ok .

Taking another lot to op shop.  Gradually getting there with down sizing.Podiatrist visit.
