I had a visit to the Dietician today.  Most of the things he discussed I already knew and was doing anyway so I didn't learn a great deal from the visit.  He did suggest that I try to put on a little bit more weight as I am 2kg lighter that when I came out of hospital.

Mab, I hope you can manage enough nutritious food to help you put on weight - my gory 'putting on weight' story is stomach churning so don't read further if you (or anyone) is feeling queasy ... when I was young, before I got married, I was going out with a crofter's boy on the Isle of Lewis and had a lunch with the family one day - typical greasy fried food - with added liquid fat poured over the lot ... UGH!!!  I didn't go there for another meal.  It was fairly traditional for up there, though, as they never wasted anything (sheep's head soup anyone?) - every part of any animal slaughtered off the croft was used - hence haggis as well was more common than it is today.  They also lived a fairly rugged outdoor lifestyle and the weather was not always particularly warm so any food was always welcome.

K Atie, wave to us as you pass by the end of Smith Street when you go to Ikea tomorrow (if you go down Victoria Parade)

Marina I don't think I would like to try the meals you described yuk.  I don't understand why I am not putting on any weight as I am eating well and having lots of milk cheese and yogurt etc.  I guess it will just take time.

Mab keep up the good work , what about porridge for Breakfast with stewed fruit or banana.
We picked up DD flat pack very heavy , used my charm and asked for lifting help on to trolley and into car , worked very well .

I went for my 6 monthly check up today. Lots of nitrogen burn offs and I go back on 24th to have a basal cell carcinoma removed. I was a little concerned as my dermatologist had retired, but the young man he has employed is much like him. Lots of fun and excellent at what he does.

That's a fair bit of work you had followed by the basal cell carcinoma removal.  Hope it goes smoothly.

I go in for a CT scan today.  After not weight bearing for 7 weeks I have to put full weight on my foot for the scan - I know it is going to be horrendously painful so not looking forward to it but I have my super strong painkillers nearby to take before we leave.

Marina, I hope your CT scan shows good results today.

I went to the Optus shop this morning to try and find out why I always have trouble trying to pay my mobile phone account.  I always go into the Optus website, put in my details and click on pay my bill, but when it comes to adding my credit card details the area is not activated.  Each month I have the same problem.  I was told today I was doing it all wrong and I should ask Mr Google to take me to Optus pay my bill and not go through the website.  I cannot understand why the main website doesn't work and yet it works through Mr Google.  I am now one very confused woman and now have a page of written details on how to do it next month.  :-)) :-)) :-))

I did my grocery shopping after that then came home and sat down to a well earned cuppa.

So frustrating Margaret. I just had the same trouble when booking for concert tickets but got there on the end.

Chookie and I went to Wilson’s today, it’s as good a shop as I thought it must be from previous posts from her. Now I’ve seen it I would definitely shop there myself, their F & V prices are better than Adelaide prices.
