Fantastic news, Cookie.  I bet you are desperate to get your hands on your new 'home' and are looking forward to many holidays and happy hours spent in it.

I hadn't heard that Bank West was closing; banks are no longer there for their customers so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised - is that cynical of me?

Oh Cookie that is exciting. Could you head over here? Banks are awful institutions. They are there simply to make money with little thought about the people who supply that money.
Gym, packing for weekend away. Preparing platter for friends 80 th Birthday on Saturday. DD is driving me to party which is High Tea and dress up. I’m going 1920s. Staying Kyneton overnight , ( dinner at Asian Restaurant)and lunch next day with friends at Gisborne.
My favourite Restaurant Masons at Bendigo is closing at Christmas. Very sad as it supported so may local farmers.

You have a busy couple of days in front of you, Chookie.  Enjoy it all.

So sorry to read that Masons is closing.  We will have to make a point of getting over there before Xmas.  I believe there is another excellent restaurant in Bendigo - I will have to track it down, but can anything top Masons???

I hear that the weather hasn’t been the best over that side of Australia.  In fact it looks freezing.
DD and I had coffee this morning and bought a few books. I finished up some of my vouchers.

Yes Cookie, freezing. Yesterday while driving from Ballarat to Kyneton, it snowed. We drove in heavy snow flurries for over an hour.
The 80 th party was great fun. I was surprised that anyone ate my vegetarian cocktail sticks and dips when it was so cold and an amazing amount of hot food available.

Still cold in this area today - feels more like mid winter than spring - although we didn't have the weather you got yesterday, Chookie, the ground here is white just now, so I doubt it will get too much warmer as the day goes on.

I am busy doing my usual weekend cooking to keep us going with dinners all week as well as giving the house a clean out as we are off to Italy for a week next Monday and we have people staying here in Guildford for the week whilst we are away.

Yesterday we went and spoke to the bank about their stuff up. They were amazed that we were being so nice about it. We decided that honey caught more flies than lemons. 😀

Some nice things happening for our regular posters - enjoy your holiday Marina. Cookie how exciting for you and DH to finally be close to taking delivery, have you planned where you’re going first up?  Chookie your busy life continues with some extra added events which sounded like fun was had. Margaret, I hope you’re doing OK.

I’m well into my FODMAP challenge now, can’t say that any one food has caused too much of a reaction. Stay well everyone.

I had a visit to one of my specialists yesterday and he had the results of the Manomatry that test I had done at St. Vincent's hospital recently.  It shows that I have something called Acalasia which it is a thickening of the eosophagas where it enters he stomach and severely restricts the food from going into the stomach.  There is surgery that can be done that should make eating much more enjoyable.  Our DIL who is the nurse in the family is away for a few weeks at the moment and I want to talk with her before I make any decisions.  So in the meantime I"ll continue with the soft and pureed foods until I can talk to her.

Interesting Margaret but you’re wise for not rushing your decision.

At least there is a known reason now Mab.

I did the grocery shopping this morning and this afternoon the lady down the road dropped in.

Mab, thank goodness you now have some more positive information, that must be a huge relief.  Good luck with your on-going treatment.
