I came home yesterday after another four days in Dandenong hospital.  I'd not eaten or had fluids for 5 days so went to the local hospital to have a nasal tube put in, was sent to Dandenong for a gastroscopy where they found I had some food lodged in the lower third of my oesophagas.  I'm feeling fine now.

Mab I'm so glad you are home now. Take care.
I was planning on a cook in today, but then the power went off. It rarely happens here. After an hour it came back on so I got going.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking about you earlier, Mab.  I was glad to read such good news that they were able to help you.  Keep well.

Thank you ladies for your kind thoughts.

Supermarket shopping today.  Then a visit to the wine shop. I bought a couple of bottles of very nice wine to drink tomorrow to celebrate our eldest GD wedding in Queensland tomorrow.  All the family are there except for DH and me.  GD is going to do a video link so that we can see her and the family at the wedding in the afternoon.   Many tears have been shed because we can't be there :'( :'(

Mab, your GD will miss you as much as you will miss being there. However your relationship with her ongoing is even more important. Enjoy the link up and drink the lovely wine.
Just general house work, washing and tidying up freezers. Solar installations being done soon.

I can imagine how devastated you are not to be able to be there Margaret, how lovely that your GD is making sure you can be part of her special day.  Enjoy the occasion, drink the wine and I’m sure there will be more tears shed - the same things you would do if you were there. Best wishes to you all.

First time in moths had all of us together . Late yesterday I ended up with a massive migraine, so debilitating and frustrating when you need to be in fast mode . DD did look after me.

GD wedding went well with no problems.  I saw her in her wedding gown and she looked radient.  Her sister was the main bridesmaid and she looked lovely in a soft blue off the shoulder dress.  A lovely day for everyone.

It sounds beautiful Mab.
Today we left home in the new acquisition (motorhome) and drove to Carnamah where we lived for 3 years. It has a new tourist attraction, a big Chamberlain tractor. It is certainly big and I love it. My Dad had a couple. I drove the motorhome for about 120km. It was very spooky at first but I got used to it after a while. I needed to as I had been driving at 70-75kmph. I sped up to 80-85 eventually.

Your first big adventure, Cookie - great days ahead.  You are right, that tractor really is BIG!!!  Great photos.

Mab, that is lovely.
Cookie, well done. That is quite fast for such a large vehicle.

Yesterday we spent most of the day driving. We went up to Morawa, then down another road and across to Moora. We stayed in a free RV stop there, right in the middle of town. Dad did some of his schooling in Moora, naturally the school is no longer there. He either rode his horse with his brothers or went in the cart with the pony pulling it.
As we had no power at the free stop, we used the solar that had been stored in the battery all day. The fridge went well. The HW system is on gas so that was ok. DH was cross as he couldn't get the 12V tv to work. He managed it ok in the caravan. He has to have his news!! We came on home today. We have a few things to iron out, not the least my shortness. I could only drive if I had a book under my foot to reach the accelerator. Also, I can't get in the passenger door as there are no grab rails. DH is going to put steps on both doors. It's easy enough now as I go through the 'house' door to the passenger seat. I loved it.

That all sounds great, Cookie.  It is inevitable that it will take a wee while to sort out all the little idiosyncrasies, but it will be well worth it, although, I must admit, not being able to reach the pedals could be an interesting challenge!!  Wishing you many safe and happy driving adventures in the future.
