Wow CC, I can't imagine trying to walk in those conditions.

Today is my day off work. Currently having solar panels installed on the roof, in the hope of reducing future electricity bills. Both our (elderly) dogs are getting very agitated with the drilling and other noises on the roof.

So far...just nursing a 3yr old who has been up most of the night coughing, now very tired and grumpy - poor kid. Hope she goes to sleep soon!!
Got miss6 up and off to school (and all that goes with it- breakfast, dressed, teeth, lunchbox etc)
Miss2 is up, dressed and breakfasted too.
Done a load of washing, and emptied the dishwasher.
...Hey, I'm tired too!!  :o

Hope your solar panels are worth it Katie!!  :D
CC -  :o yuk! I can't like mud!!
:D

Is the nesting energy starting to wear off? ;D

CC, you could probably canoe down that path :D :D

Katie, I hope the workmen finish your solar panels soon. Its hard to keep dogs calm when they don't understand whats going on :(

It's funny Marie Chance always skirts around water trying not to get his feet wet :D :D :D

He would have had trouble avoiding getting his feet wet this time though CC.  I can ask the question now that I have wondered about since your DD first contacted me about you coming to Australia.  Who is going to walk Chance twice a day when you aren't there ???

Katie we have had our solar panels almost 2 years. We have paid all the electricity bills and taken about $1500 in cash as well. We have 3 kw system.

CC I much prefer the snow picture. Poor you and poor Chance. He needs an indoor walker for those times.

The sunset here was colourful last night. Not a patch on those who live by the ocean or in FNQ but not bad for suburban Perth.

Those figures sound great Cookie.  Mmm, wonder when I will succumb to the temptation and go down that track myself.

Lovely photos of the sunset too, thanks for sharing them Cookie.

One good thing though is that they won't have the same weather conditions you are experiencing at the moment - what's August like in the UK?

It should be warm and dry Judy.We don't experience the fierce heat that you guys endure but by UK standards it can be hot.Chance should stay relatively clean.

Hi all,  have just read 20 pages to catch up.  Nice to see what everyone is doing.  We have had bush fires within 3 Ks,  so yesterday left home,  all packed with documents and valuables,  and decides to sit it out at a local town.  Had fish and chips while we waited.  Got a ring after about 2 hours to say all was safe and we could return home.   We will be glad when Summer is over and we get some rain.   Could swap CC right now,  heat for mud. ;D
