Power came on just in time to cook the lamb.
All good in the end.
Yes we are all so dependent on the power supply. I have gas hot plates which is always good to have during a power cut but not for roast lamb. I could have pot roasted it I guess  ;)
Yes Astarra how are things progressing with pregnancy? So exciting  :)

I'm at work today after dropping the kids at school & kindy.  Poor DD is really going through a stage of not wanting me to leave her.  :'(

Thanks for all the kind comments over the blanket...... Progress slow but I sit and do it everywhere I go and have to wait which for a lot of reasons is a lot of my time at present. It always starts conversations with strangers which is rather nice. Obviously this means that it is unusual to see someone making something like this.
If I just sit and talk, as i did yesterday, I feel my fingers should be doing something!  Is that sad or what?

You have inspired me!  I am now knitting a baby blanket for my future niece/nephew!  Just one colour, so no sewing up etc  ;) With a fairly simple lace pattern.
So thanks for showing your work on here or I doubt I would have found the knitting love in time...  :-))

Cookie, I did my olives a couple of years ago and chilli and basil are our favourite mix. Also whole cummin and coriander. Not great to start with, but now they have been sitting in the pantry for 18 months the flavour is really good.
Only did about 20 very large jars (about 5kg in each jar) so haven't done any since. Was thinking about finding someone this year to press them for me and make our own olive oil. Or leave them for the 28's to nip off one by one as I really don't need to have any more stashed away!

Jo NZ I feel for you and your DD.

Nikkit are you looking for someone to press your olives for you? An education dept farm where DH did a lot of work has theirs pressed each year and I could find out where if you wish.

I'm in at the hospital this morning for the final tests for the Beetroot juice programme. Just gave an armful of blood   Later will be the spit test (yuck) and then a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours.

Cookie - that would be good - thanks. I know there are places in the Swan Valley that do it - just don't know exactly where.
There are only so many olives we can eat, and I think I have about 5 years worth here!
I have been baking them lately and they are yummo on a cheese platter.

Enjoy ?? the tests, will be interesting to see what the results are of all this.

True, I plan to ask him to let me know if any conclusive results are found.

Today...normal morning til school drop off, then home and made some raspberry and white choc chip muffins, to Pre-kinder 10am, Walked down to the river 11:30am with Miss6's class (and miss3 & miss2) to watch an acrobat show..... very glad to see my SIL there so she could give me a ride back up the hill to the school to get my car (1pm), just home, having lunch then will be resting as my ankles look like they belong to someone 10 times my size.......!!!!  :-))  :-\

Thanks Kimmy, MF and Obbie, things do seem to be going really well with the pregnancy this time which is all good.  :D :D :D Bubs does alot of kicking and punching!!!  ;D ;D ;D    Have been advised I need to rest - easier said than done :-)) :-)) but trying to have a half hour rest with my feet up each afternoon when the girls are having their sleeps, if it keeps bub and me well, I'll do it!!!

With regards to the olives, a Doctor at the Medical Centre where I work salts his olives, he brought some in one day for us to try and they were really nice.
