Wow Jo!! That'll be a day to remember... Maybe do a mini photo album for him of the day? The memories will grow sweeter for him  as time goes on! :)

Yesterday I went to a Preserving Workshop put on by the Permaculture Sydney Institute. It was a great day and really enjoyed the company, the food . . . . and, of course, all the hands on learning!  ;D

Something different GF, bet you learnt a lot from that class.

GF that would have been interesting. What are you going to preserve first?
Jo, an awesome party.

Today I have been "sneezing". Suzanne I am glad I am not the only. I slept for 12 hours last night and had a sleep today.

Today Milliecoop1 and I went to a back-to-basics cooking class. It was good as the recipes made (and of course tasted) were not ones I've tried, but they were all in the EDC so I have the recipes :)

Everything was really yummy:
Autumn sorbet (fig, orange, cinnamon)
Lemon Parsley Juice
Basic bread with a twist (spinach)
Home made butter -this part was really useful as I don't make butter so it was interesting to see it being washed
Tuna Dip -why have I not made this before?!?!
Red lentil and Sweet Potato Soup -yum
Brown Rice Salad -excellent for feeding a huge crowd
Torte Caprese -really yummy
Chocolate custard
Gluten Free bread

I will definitely be making everything (except the GF bread as I like another recipe) again soon. And it was great to be around a bunch of people who are TMX nerds like me!

Judy I remember doing that for boarding school. It is a horrible job.

Good luck with that Judy, I hate doing it for the kids and resort to a black marker. Not much here today, at a family function and ferrying kids to/from sport.

I went to a Horse Agility clinic yesterday with my spotty horse. He jumped through hoops, walked on a bridge, stepped up onto a podium, carried a bag of cans, was rubbed all over by a tarp plus a whole lot more "scary stuff" and took everything in his stride until it came to walking through pool noodles dangling from a frame. He wasn't overly impressed with that - but when I walked through it he figured it didn't hurt Mum, so he did it too. He has never done any of it before, so I was really happy he trusted me with all the unusual things he had to do.
And to top off our day I won the "Horsemanship Award" which not-so-quietly-I'm-gonna-toot-my-own-trumpet I am so proud of me!!! It reinforces the fact that I have done so much with this horse and we have come such a long way together and I am thrilled that people that I have never met before can see that.  ;D
