Couldn't agree more, Debbie . . was just thinking the same thing.  A hideous experience for anyone let alone a child!!

Using it to dial 000 though would have been the way to go I think.  Poor boy, hope his is OK maddy - he certainly won't forget that experience in a hurry.

I can't believe that police would tell a child or anyone for that matter to do something like that !

Maddy, How scary for your GS. I think asking him to take a photo is ridiculous ! The guy could have got really angry at the fact that he had evidence and then who knows what he would have done to your GS. That's just putting him in more at risk if you ask me !

I agree...thankfully a neighbour will now pick him up from school each day, as  his parents both work.  I don't think I would ever let him walk home alone ever again!   There are monsters out there everywhere  >:(

scary thought. My kids walk here, with a big group,  1 block to our shop.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

Whoa...that's terrible! And why should he stop to take pic. He did the right thing - get as far as possible ASAP.

So glad he's safe.

So  glad he's okay!! Very scary.

Have had a bitsy day - bits of work, odd jobs, baking... Having an early night to try and shake my cold. Going away at the weekend for grandad's 90th and my brother's wedding so need to be at full speed by then.  8)

Maddy that is really horrible. Poor child.

We've had a crappy day too. We had just got back on the road after a lunch break when we came across a dreadful accident. Two young international girls had rolled their commodore station wagon several times. They were both trapped in it and the car was smoking. We got them out with the help of another passer by. Thank goodness neither was seriously injured. Both had head injuries and lots of lacerations and one had severe injuries to her arm, broken bones etc.
As we were about 70 km north of Geraldton and 28 km north of Northampton, by some magic my mobile worked. I was able to call emergency services. It took 45 minutes for them to come. Then we had 2  ambulances, 3 fire trucks , and police.
We sat with the girls until the ambos arrived, gave our details to the police and left. Then I noticed I had quite a bit of blood on me so I had a good clean up when we stopped next.
It shook us up quite a bit. Thank goodness for mobile phones.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Oh Cookie... I can imagine how shaken up you'd be... But I'll bet my bottom dollar the two girls are blessing you to bits for all your help and comfort!!! Hope the rest of your trip home is smooth and uneventful....
