DH and I are being quite social this week.  A few days ago we went on the train to Bunbury using up our free Seniors travel tickets. A three hour ride from Perth. Lovely scenery and very comfortable .  Two hours there to look around and have lunch, then back to Perth. A long day as we had left at 7.30am to get a park at the railway station and home by 6pm.

Wednesday, DH birthday and we are off to the Casino on the bus which picks people up from the suburbs and takes them to the Casino.  . Haven't done this before so will be a bit different . Could come home richer??? ;D  We will adopt what a friend did, put the money to spend in one pocket and the winnings in the other and when you run out of spending money what you have left in the other pocket is a bonus. Well thats the theory

Saturday is our 50th wedding anniversary, so off to Hillarys for lunch.

Then back to reality

Nope - they have an "optional" t-shirt (polo style), sweatshirt and hat.  He has the tee which he wears for Miniball games, and the hat, but most of the kids wear mufti most of the time.  Around this area it's only the private or church schools that have uniforms.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Kayc it sounds as though you are in for a lovely time.  I went to the atrium at the casino for lunch last week and it was lovely. Didn't go on the bus though. I hope you win lots.

You are a lot more English than we are.

I like a school uniform (but there are headaches that come along with it). Public school uniform is a good idea - no trying to out do each others outfits..
Private school uniform looks excellent but is very expensive.

Kayc, it sounds like a fun week for you - all the best at the casino, I hope you have deep pockets on the winning side.  ;)

Ha ha that's right I am/was Mama Fergie but as everyone always called me MF I put that on view. I still prefer Mama Fergie though  :
A busy day here as 2 GC's were unwell so had DD plus 4 kids all day. They arrived early and have only just gone. I think a glass of something will be next on my agenda but will wait till DH comes home  ;D
