Yep Amy, they are scary at times :(
But I can be scarier. I growled at him about being so ungrateful and to think before he speaks, he soon backs down and said that he just has to get used to it and its not that bad after all :D

Mandi,

Chuck it all on the lawn. Walk away and say "There you go, Better???? Now you can do it the way YOU like."

I was close to doing that. Problem is his room is the smallest in the house and there is my many ways it can be moved. Be had is bed against the window and I have never liked it as it is also the coldest room in the house. Now his bed is away from the window and looks heaps better (I think anyway)

I'm not supposed to go into my sons room while he is away in England....yeah right like that's going to happen....mind you I'm a walking zombie today so I'm not doing anything I don't have to...I'm just sitting getting paperwork done for work. I'll tackle the scary room another day.

DS19 moved out this morning and its just past midday here. thought I would go and have a look at what an empty room looks like... Not sure but I think someone maybe has moved in already? Its a pigsty, another job for me to do next weekend but hopefully he willl lift his game with his flatmates and they won't send him home and the room will stay tidy from then onwards.
Didn't even close his window, but at least he turned off the light. Will miss his noise I suppose.

I miss him already but he needs to live out of home for a while. A job opportunity came up interstate that was ideal, and so he went for it and got it. Bless his big smelly cotton socks  :D

My DS 22yrs has moved in and out a few times. Missed him desperately the first time as he's my youngest.
Second time missed him for a few weeks. Now I really enjoy him coming back for family meals and dropping in to say hi - don't know that I would want him back full time. Of course if he really had to come home he would be welcome.
It's harder to enforce the rules when they have been out on their own for a while.
