Okay... I think spam is off the menu for me... :-X Thanks Robyn and Gert :-))

So is there any reason why it is called Bubble and Squeak? ??? Why not just Tasty Leftovers?
Hally, are you go to get some frying lessons? ;D

I think you should try it once Amy. You can eat it cold in a sandwich or fry it or bake it.

If I added the oils mustards vinegars condiments I do not think I could count that high. Not to mention the sauces, salts, peppers. OMG

Very scary. But I must use them up along with the excess cans, freezer food and moisturises under the vanity.

Amy
Bubble and squeak traditionally was left over mashed potato mixed with left over cooked cabbage fried in dripping. The squeak is the noise the water from the cabbage  makes as it hits the hot fat.

No one cooks in dripping anymore.

Hope this helps

Do you think they will have spam and chips at the winery we're going to for lunch on the retreat weekend?
