Amy, you're wonderful  :) :) :)

 :D

Today the house was permanently a mess with all the gear the kids bought down to amuse themselves with (anyone would have thought they were coming for a week) but we got through the day without me having a nervous breakdown.  Lots of fights, lots of hugs and kisses between the 2 of them, lots of me telling them to stop arguing.  They made marshmallow muffins - by hand as the TMX was busy cooking the pickled pork, we went to a new playground at the beach and spent ages at the water's edge before calling in to see their great-Grandmother on the way home.  2 kids is so much harder than 1.
GD went home with both the wigs I'd bought for the retreat, this was the best of the two.

Sounds like you certainly had your hands full Judy :o

I think I will be reading recipes for the next two weeks... one of SD's staff gave me three boxes of recipe cards that he doesn't want anymore :-)) :)

My DW feels the same way CP but our DDs are not any where near ready.  :(  I tell her I am not old enough yet.  ;D

You'll have great fun going through them Amy.  I enjoy getting things like that, don't need them but can't say no and have to read each and every recipe.

CP & DD, I was ready over 15 years ago for grand-children.  Everyone else was having them and I was the last in my age group - the kids were married 10 years before the first one came along and then a 4 year gap before the next one.  I often tell GD she should be about 15, not 7.

They are 27 and 25 CP. By the time DW and I were 25 we had been married for 3 years and first DD was on the way. My mother was only 41 when she became a Grandmother.

Lovely children JD.

I love being a grandmother and I was only 40 when our first one came along.

We now have 10 and one on the way.

They fill our lives with joy.

Wow that's even more than me!!!  :o

We may have another 1 or 2 as my second DS and his wife only have baby girl 8 months old. They want 4 as they are both one of 4 and loved it.
My other DS has 4 for same reason and one DD has 3 and one on the way and no more after.
DD 1 has two and happy with that. She gets her baby fix from nieces and nephews.  :)
