I finally got around to defrosting my upright freezer and cleaning out the one above the fridge. I was under the misguided impression, that I would end up with more freezers space since I've been doing the shopping challenge for so long. No such luck! It's still choccas, and there is still no room for my ice cream maker bowl.
I also cleaned the bathroom and did yet more washing whilst DH took the kids to a party.

Congratulations Kimmyh on your show results. I entered scones into the Adelaide show this year and didn't win a prize either. Maybe next year will be different for both of us.
I concur with everyone else and think that Maddy should enter her cupcakes - they always look yummy.

Judy, I'm glad you have helpful neighbours as so many people these days aren't so lucky. Glad Geoff is ok

I've changed the beds and washed, done my food shopping, started my Christmas gift shopping, started on food I need for next weekend, dropped DH on the floor whilst transferring him (neighbour came to my aid) - he's OK, it was only a sliding drop not a crash type drop  :-)) - just a normal day really ;D
It must have been a heart stopping moment when you realized that Geoff started to slide to the floor Judy.Good news that you had help from your neighbour.

Thanks for your concern girls, we are both OK - Geoff's body received a bit of a shake up and my back knows I've done something different but it will be OK.

AB yes I have an iPad but those instructions were for a computer.  I can only read, post and do some of my moderating jobs on the iPad, cannot link or post congratulation graphics.  Had I got to the retreat, Gert was going to be the teacher of all the things I can't do but it doesn't matter - I'm happy doing things on my computer.

Just sent you a screen shot JD, is this what you mean? Up the top where the email address is you can also tap it and then choose "select all" and then copy and paste as usual.

I woke fine this morning, no niggles in my back thank goodness. Geoff is OK too. We have an occupational therapist coming from the MS Society today, we had been referred to them 6 months ago and today they are finally coming. Not sure if there is anything they can do for us - it might just be to satisfy Disability Services that we do indeed have problems and although we cope, when I do say we need help, I mean it. Last time Disability Services were here the chap told me they could offer no help unless I did my back in  :-))  He said he would put in a referral for OT though. Since then, the Carer Respite Centre has given me a small package to help out a little for which I am very grateful but it's probably not enough.

Good luck with the car hunting Kim, it will be nice to have your own set of wheels.  I'm interested how our cossies are so different to those in France - did you buy UV protective swimsuits for the children?

DJ, it sounds as if you need a good rest and of course with all that has been going on and still to be done, this isn't happening.

Judy, Why is it so hard to get help when you really need it.

It should be so easy and straight forward. Well I would hope so.. :)
Hope they look after you.

All the best with securing some help Judy, you certainly deserve it.

DH and I spent a lovely night at Crown Metropol last night and having a lazy start to the day before heading home at lunchtime. We ate at Rockpool last night and while it was quite nice I wouldn't say it was fanastic.

DJ, I hope you feel better soon too :-*

I just took my friend's birthday cake around to her house and am now baking some biscuits. At 11am I'm going to try out for a new job in a pub kitchen ;D
