This morning I went to a Christmas Fair in aid of Action Medical Research at Waddesdon Manor
I bought a birthday card,a sliver bracelet for DD birthday in January and a Cranberry Glass jug for a friends birthday in February. Also bought a rather large glass vase/container which I have smuggled into the house because DH will say "haven't you got a big vase already"  :D :D :D It will look good on the table for Christmas ;)
Walked the dog twice.Off tonight for my evening class in chair caning. The last for this year,it recommences in March.

Don't cry over the past,it's gone.Don't stress about the future,it hasn't arrived.Live in the present and make it beautiful.

Maddy that's great that DS is able to help and that he is willing to do so. Would love to know how you can instill a good work ethic in kids - my two are hopeless  >:(

Our DD (17) left on her World Challenge Expedition to Cambodia this morning so we are all a bit flat. It was great to see her so excited and looking forward to the challenges they are going to face over there. Her brother said he missed her as soon as the bus pulled away, but I'm sure he will get over that pretty quickly  ;D

What an adventure for your DD wonder  8)

Victory!.....finally nagged hubby into the Doc's office this morning  :P
of course he needed antibiotics for a stomach bug....which would have had him in better shape, if he'd gone earlier when I first started nagging him!  :-))

Heading off to collect my glasses I left at a store  :-))  I can't count how often I do this.  I didn't realise that I had, until I ran into the sales girl at the supermarket.....which I was running around in bare feet (hoping no one would notice), as my shoe had just broke  >:(  I will now leave a spare pair in boot in case it happens again!
Picking up Birthday presents for kids friends on weekend, the groceries I forgot when I was barefoot, and be back for paddock drop offs....cricket tonight, then looking forward to opening some bubbles to celebrate it's Friday  ;D
Toodles  :)
.........EAT CAKE!

Maddy, that's great that you managed to get DH to the doctors, hopefully he'll start feeling better soon. Sounds like you are certainly earning those bubbles today.

Amy, DD is away for 3 weeks and we probably won't have any contact in that time so it will be a struggle for us all. She is doing a little over a week trekking in the jungle, one week at an orphange for aids affected children and then some free time. Some of the people involved in past trips we've met say many of the kids come back quite different with a new level of maturity. Eventhough she tends to keep to herself at home it's going to seem strange not having her (and her boyrfriend!) around.

Wow, it sounds amazing Wonder! I'm sure it will be a fantastic experience for her. Hopefully the rest of you don't get too lonely though ;)
How much did it cost for her to do that? It sounds like something I would love to do :)
