Hi Amy
How exciting for you. I love cockatiels they make lovely pets. My kids had one called Cookie, turned out to be an unfortunate name for him as my greyhound thought he'd make a nice snack 😢😂
Oh noooooo!!! :'(

I went for a 96km bike ride this morning then walked into town and did some shopping. After lunch we started decorating the house and finally at 8pm we finished.   :D

I am exhuasted.

I'm not surprised!!!  What a day!

I'm back in the office for the morning today, then planning to skip off early and do some baking - start on some Xmas goodies, and make a batch of cookie dough to take to playcentre tomorrow for the kids to roll out & cut into shapes  :)

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Not really Judy, but in saying that, it will be my first hand-reared pet. So it will require a lot more attention ;D Only 11 hours and 37 minutes until it arrives :D :D :D

Good Luck with him/her Amy.

Sad story about cookie.... the bird.
We had a labrador that ate baby wagtails from a nest over and over. Stupid mother bird would not relocate even when we took the nest down to try to get her to build elsewhere.

Made more fudge today, baked bread rolls and xmassy brioche, had a lovely walk with DH at a National Trust property. Knitted more cloths and scrubbies.
Must get finished next week as delivery for my Xmas gifts to 4 houses is next sunday.

Look forward to meeting your cockatiel Amy - such cheeky little birds, love them!
This morning we went to the Melbourne museum (again!!). DD7 really wanted to go and since the Design market was on next door at the Exhibition building I thought, why not? Unfortunately once we had finished at the museum the kids were a bit tired & hungry so only got a very quick look at the market, probably a good thing for my bank balance!
A friend popped in this arvo, plus doing a bit of cooking & housework.

We had a newfoster boy over sat afternoon & a sleepover. He was lovely, nice manners, was very impressed. They sad he has ADHD, so we locked things up & were very cautious. He was so easy & we didnt see any sigs of it at all, not like one child we have from time to time. Cp & him played so well, we asked to have him back next weekend.
